Everyones got a different viewpoint, and a lot of our parents were around in eras when drugs were much more commonplace.

Love X or hate it, there is definetly a little bit of wisdom in not telling your teenage daughter she CANNOT use. If she really wants to she will, and maybe her dad was trying to allow for an open dialouge?

I dunno, my two cents, and more than anything just lookin at the the situation from a different point of view.

Its not like he thinks its ok to do e but he didn't get mad about it. We didn't really go into it. Besides my dad doesn't care bout that kinda stuff as much as other parents do. He was happy when he found that I had done shrooms, that right there tells u a lot.

You know, I think that it is OK to have parents support their children where drugs are concerned. At least there will be less stigma for them and maybe even an opportunity to offer some guidance not normally available with such things.

You know there are a lot of other cultures that have a different attitude toward altering your consciousness where there is that kind of support and they typically don't have problems with drugs like our society does. We spend (consciously or not) so much time struggling with the rights and wrongs of so called 'drug abuse' that many people never realize that there is value beyond entertainment in respectful and responsible drug USE.

After all, what do you think meditation is? I'm personally a vote for educated substance use, support from our peers, and respecting the substances for what they are, powerful allies that can help us understand our selves and the universe better. Not just a good time generator.

iono i just find this is really great being able to tell your parnets because with that they can help out alot to and keeping a secert is hard... i mena pretty much ever weekend am like i am stayin the night and such and suchs house then go and rave... so i think its cool what you did and i mean the E part means hes understanding and you gotta think parnets are only there to advise and show us how to live our lives i think that when they start makin us live a certain way is when we get fucked up

i personally think drug use to some extent is fine when you have got your life going... but if your 17 in highschool with bad grades and looking at not graduating... i think its time to reevaluate your priorities.

You're right there are always the reality of it all when things arent going well and are turned to drug use. Try to have your life on the right track and then think about drug use. Its not always a party. Prioritize. I know I just repeated everything you said.
