definetly sucks ass that the party got shut down, and you're probably pretty damn disappointed, which is understandable. I would point you towards Tenchi's advice in a recent post, "don't post while angry" (I paraphrase).

Also, raving is a blast but there are, in my mind MUCH better reason to dislike this country.=p

keep havin fun man, there's fun to be had out there, even if our best laid plans fall apart every now and then.

Plus, I am getting doubts for going to another rave.
I never claimed to know u or anything about ur life...uhm, i was just saying that one lil broken rave, which by the way i too am VERY disappointed that i got broken up, shouldn't be the sole incident that "defines" our country in your eyes. thats all...and i hope one renegade getting busted doesnt discourage u from enjoying many of the other legit events...iono, Lift 2 seem like its going to be AWESOME...check it out. =)

laterz...this are just my 2 cents...iono thats all.

first off juss wanna say that it must suck going to a "long list" of parties and having many of them broken up. that said...

so the party was ILLEGAL, and you're blaming the cops for shutting it down? what'd you expect them to do when they came over there? take some x with you guys? have a drink (like the cops in bulgaria apparently)? if i saw a cop take some drinks with forty 14-15 year olds "drunk beyond belief" i'd be damn disappointed in the way law enforcement is run. sorry but a group that big, that young, and that drunk doesn't sound like a promising mix.

don't be mad the cops for busting you when you're doing something illegal. if anything, be mad at the law that makes whatever it is you're doing illegal. i think e is a beautiful drug but if i ever get caught with it and thrown in jail, i won't be mad cause the cops don't think e is as wonderful as i do. i mean shit, in the end i knew what i was taking so i should at least know what's coming if i get caught, which i hope never happens.

"System" - A linear method of trying to control non-linear events. Systems are always going to be imperfect, and therefore inadequate for dealing with all situations. One system for all situations is just impossible.

The freedoms that we experience in America are not "FREEDOM" in the total sense. FREEDOM is the ability to do as one chooses. We are granted a type of freedom that has exceptions and clauses in this country. Not every situation or every person is entitled to FREEDOM under the laws of this country.

The problem arises in the balance between personal liberties and societal safety. I personally think that everyone should have the liberty to do what they will, and ultimately we all do, it is just a matter of consequences. But when you're in the position of measuring the liberty of the one against the safety of the many...and making laws to protect the many while still maintaining the most liberty and justice for all...well, that's a whole new balancing act.

In the above instance, (the party being busted) yes, there is the risk of sending everyone from the party on the road under the influence. However, it is still not legal to be there, be under the influence and drive, or possibly even to have done whatever it is that is altering your ability to be responsible for yourself. So, what then? Are the police supposed to give the benefit of the doubt and assume that everyone is responsible enough to make the right decisions and NOT put themselves and others at risk? Or should they just crack a beer and play babysitter for the minority while turing a blind eye to the majority?

Not every method works for every instance. In the illegal rave sense, sometimes we are lucky, sometimes we are not. Somtimes we outsmart those who wish us to fail, sometimes we do not.

Either way, we are luckier than most in most all other instances. Besides, getting away with it would not be nearly as fun or challenging if it were not for the risks involved...rafe is like sex, you only get out of it what you put in. If it were always easy you'd get bored.

Precisely Idiotbox. And I am glad I will not get any of that bullshit when I go back.

edit that I though of later:

Drinking age in Bulgaria (as well as Europe, even lower in some places) 18
Age of consent in Bulgaria 14
Taxi trip to ANYWHERE within the capital ~ equivalent of 5$
public transportation - everywhere and punctual
bar/clubs/discos entrance ~ equivalent of 3$
Liter of vodka ~ equivalent of 5$
police giving you trouble, ESPECIALLY if you are over 18 - minimal
ways to have fun - many

I quote Paul Stanley of Kiss in my rave/sex comparison..but the words are true enough...you get out of anything what you give, and that is as true of sex as it is rave, or friedship, or getting a buzz, or just being kind.

The law of balance, or something, it's hermetic. You can only expect an eqully opposite reaction to your efforts, however that manifests. Expecting more than what you are willing to contribute is folly. To contribute without expectation is a great thing. To give without condition is good.

Anyway, my sunday afternoon buzz prevents me from elaborating...love..

The fact that you are way to fucked up to drive gives you no right to pass blame on the cops. It is fully your responsibility.

Dont get me wrong. I hate it when cops break up a party. But personally I am always prepared by either having a sober driver OR having enough money for a taxi in case the driver is to messed up to drive.

Cliffnotes: Dont pass judgement on others when it is your fault you put yourself in a sticky situation. GROW UP!

lol says the guy who threw illegal parties and put people in those cirucmstances in the first place
