That your attitude in life determines what kind of life you live is no secret.

The Law of Attraction may be no secret to some people. But looking at most people out there I think it would behoove them to learn about it. It's more deeper than an attitude or ideology. It explains why opposites attract or lack there of. More importantly, it gives meaning to one's place in the universe and how much control we actually have. Kudos to the person who started this thread. Just think about it, how many Children could be saved by looking within oneself for answers instead of superficial mind altering substances.

I dunno. The movie, from what I saw in the ... (ahem, loathe as I am to use the word) blogosphere and on youtube, looks pretty sophistic, if not solipistic. Kind of a marketing coup based around some pretty useless self-help wanking. I guess I'll have to check out the movie before I say more. But it looks like the kind of crap I'd churn out if I wanted to make some money off of lost, directionless souls.

(ps: I think you might actually be better off eating enormous amounts of acid, permanent psychological damage nonwithstanding)

exactly.
it is sad to me today that the majority of people seem to feel they are victims to what the world brings them.

however, your attitude and your view on the world are what brings you your events in your life.

we are all in a very basic sense, just energy... which means, we are able to attract to us the same energies we give forth to the universe.

I highly recommend you check out books by Ester and Jerry Hicks. They go into further detail and pose a rather simplified way of making the law of attraction work for you.

in a simple case, for example, everyday I would drive to work, and everyday (i kid you not) this one light would always be red, and it takes roughly 7 mins to turn green.
after i read these books and saw the secret, I started picturing a green light at that same intersection. I pictured it to be so every morning as I would shower, and as I would get into my car. I BELIEVED it to be so, there for it was so, and it is law.

and you know what happened?
(i kid you not again) the light since those days that I started to deliberatly create a scenerio I would like to see, was and IS ALWAYS green. and that was just the tip of the ice berg....

it has changed my life, and i see the law of attraction at work in every minute of my life.
and it is beautiful.

good luck on your own endevors in uncovering exactly what "The Secret" means for you, and its applications in your life.

AH, it is too bad that you are not open to something that really could bring you so much joy.

you are not ready for the secret, and its implications.

I will picture you at a time in your life that you are ready for what the secret has to offer to you.

I hope one day you can be open to it, and at least give it a try.

Having too open of a mind makes for a really big hole for anything to just fall right into.

I think anyone who is willing to look at the link-- and try to figure out just what this secret is that you have alluded-- to does have an open mind. Anyone who sees through it has already gotten to that stage in life and moved on.

Dont believe everything you think.

And uh, oh yeah. If recycling tasted like hot-dogs would you do it???

This is (partially) my bad. I come off hostile and aggressive because I get really excited about this kind of
subject matter. When I try to have a civil argument in person the same vibe comes off.

I don't mean to attack you, or discourage you from sharing something you've discovered. I am not even disagreeing with or discounting your experience with employing your will. I totally believe things like this are possible. You'd probably be surprised by the common themes in our respective spiritual paths.
