groove is my favorite rave movie.
and for the person who said it misrepresents it.... ummmm....did you rave during the nineties in the bay? 'Groove" is what raves were at one point in the scene....right before the rave act hit. now of course.....they varied. but its a good depiction of ware-house parties and a large amount of stereotypes in raving. everything from how the girl gets a ride, the gay couple who can't find the venue, to the young DJ who is nervous and looks up to john digweed. my favorite ones? the noob. and the science TA drug dealer. btw....i know where that ware-house is ![]() Last edited by Klover; 15.5.2008 at 4:36 am.. Reason: automerged doublepost |

Just finished watching it. I've only been partying for about 2 years, so I could totally identify with the noob. I wonder what raves will be like in the next decade....more mainstream?
edit: B&W was my first time seeing or hearing Forrest Green and she totally knocked my socks off! I leaned over table to say "You're hella good!!" and she was like "THANKS!!" in a super squeaky voice. lolz. What a trip to see her in this movie. |

damn if i wasn't already impatient to go to POP! This week and a half is gonna do by extremely slow.
anyways...can totally relate to a bunch of stuff in the movie, such as- losing someone at a rave and meeting back up with them later, and all the different types of crazy people that go to raves. The part I liked the most is the very end how they show everyone going back to their normal lives. It's exactly how I describe a rave to people who have never been to one- a complete pause of life where there are no worries at all. |

if only raves were still like that.
hopefully, after some time of teaming up with other crews, i will throw my own complete underground much like groove. its the exact style/feeling i want raving to return to. that, or late 80s in the UK. |

i mean in norcal is it really that horribly astray? its just quite fucking rare we get a nite like this. but renegades come pretty close in my opinion, with the whole kickass venue thing.
but renegades have less of the e-lovin. |
