Short & Sweet cuz we're tired & have to get up early =)
Thank you to all those that came out to PLAY @ Play tonight. We had some unexpected difficulties, especially in the begining, but I guess that is to be expected when it comes to throwing events. It was really great to see everyone that was out there really looking like they were having a great time, dancing & talking with each other... Intermingling which we don't see enough of anymore. It was wonderful to hear everyone that came up to us & said thank you & let us know you were having an awesome time. That's all we could have hoped for from you guys. For those of you that went, you were asked to write your name on a piece of paper. For those few of you that had problems getting in & still have your ticket - there will be an event coming up soon which will be free - $5 for you guys. We were told by the venue at approximatly 9pm tonight that they had a sound complaint, which is why the sound was kept low, and why the event had to shut down an hour early. These were some of the unexpected issues & we hope the next event might make up for it. =) THANK YOU AGAIN EVERYONE. Everyone looked like they left happy, and we hope everyone got home safe. Thank you for celebrating our First year of moving our San Francisco party scene Forward. P. LOVE. U. R. R., ~All of OmniEra & Forward Good night! :hug |

Don't advertise it as all ages if it's not all ages and make me and my friends drive out 2 hours to not get in.

The age issue & the sound issue were the 2 things that we thought we didn't have to worry about, considering this was legal event with all the contracts, permits, & payments in place. We weren't notified of either change from the venue until about 9pm the night of the party. Again, we apologize for both unexpected changes and we do plan to make it up to all those at the next event coming up shortly.

thats just not right spam its a known fact that studio Z is an 18+ venue...."Quite a few of my friends have done events there & I've never really seen a problem," your joking right? you and everyone knows studio Z is last resort venue...The first forward was a great party (it had a telic feel to it and it felt that way for good ressons),Save the rave was a sad night for the scene and there was not much that could have changed it was weird i never get bad tripps but that night i took 2ci and freaked out and andy and kattie got me out of there about 15 minutes befor all hell broke loose ... Forward 2 i allso really injoyed even if allot of my close freinds did not suport it (the word of that month was safty..lol...) i planned on seeing wat you had in store for this party, i thought that for a one year that you would have had something specail planned....but when i heard studio z i made it a blockbuster night....im wondering how many kids did not make it in knowing that most of the newbies are underaged and newbies are the ones that tend to buy presales....it just does not sound right to me???? when has studio z not been 18+??? please tell me i really would like to know...i could be wrong because i have tryed to avode going there after that happy kids party that someone got shot out in front of.... and just a few weeks ago there was a party threre and it was 18+ but at least jared told the kids befor they bought a ticket... |

^ You are actually incorrect. The B side of Studio Z CAN be all ages. It says so on the contract I have from them. The B Side can be either all ages, 18+, or 21+. The Main Side of Studio Z must be 21+ at all times. I don't consider The B Side as a last resort venue... I've had plenty of good times there, most notably Sound Asylum 5 & 7.
We chose to have our 1 Year at Studio Z for several reasons. One, I really wanted the staff of OmniEra & Forward to enjoy thier night & not have to stress & work so much with all the things throwing an unpermitted underground comes with. I felt with us having a secure place with permits & all we would get rid of the issues of being shut down & things like that. We also wanted the 1 Yr to be an intimate 1 room gathering for everyone to feel the close-knit vibe... I'm happy to have seen that part was definitly achieved. Every event I throw is a lesson. What I learned that night is just because an event is legal & permitted doesn't mean it won't have it's own problems. The problems we encountered were the same ones I thought I was avoiding by having it there. I can't control what the venue does when they tell me things are changing at 9pm the night of the party. But I can control what we can do for everyone that comes to another event, and that's what we plan to do for the next one. ![]() |
