Stilldream rundown and info.

Hey folks. I been around for alil while, but I have missed stilldream, much to my dismay, every time its come around. I must go this year, and in fact I have my ticket and will be attending. *crowd goes wild*

My question is what to expect. My best friend went last year but whenever I ask for any concrete info on what to bring etc he looks off past my shoulder in a whistful daze and doesnt give me any real solid help. Ive read the "survival guide" but should i bring to have a great time, and not just an OK time. Did anyone ever set up a ravelinks camp? Anything I can do to assure a good time etc? Look, this fool is DANCING

I'm in the same boat as you, never been to a Rave Campout before, so don't really know what to expect either. So I think I will just come over prepared.

I have been camping many times before, but that was family campouts, so expecting a totally different experience.

My friend and I ordered a bunch of glow stuff and should be here soon for Still Dream. He will have a staff with glow bracelets taped on and many other glow stuff we will have fun with at the campout.

We are going to Walmart to pick up cheap gallons of water. I already have an air mattress and tent. I'm also sure it will be very dark at night, so bringing plenty of flashlights to see.

It will be very hot in the day and cold at night, so have warm and cool stuff.

SUNSCREEN!!!!! You seriously don't want to get burned durning the campout, that will always make things less fun.

Oh and stuff to eat that you don't have to cook, also there is camping food packs you can get at places like Outdoor World.

You will also want to get at least a few hours at night of sleep as you don't want to try to sleep during the day, well that is if you sleep, lol. I know though I will certainly get a few each night as I really think it will make the day better.

Well that is all I can think of about camping right now. I'm planning to get there right a 3pm when it opens on Friday, want to be able to get a good spot, even though I have no idea what a good spot constitutes at this camp site. Hopefully there will be some people with some experience in that area.

So see you there, should be fun to hang out with everyone getting to know them somewhat.

is this party up in angels camp? just because it sure does sound like it..."2.5 hours from the city" and "last 3.5 miles steep dirt road"...yeps, smell like angels cramp, but i could be wrong...but if it is, what you'll need more than anything are NERVES...the road to the site is "alittle nutty" and sketchy...defintely be careful!!!...but only advise is if they're gonna set the party in the lower part and parking on the top, pack basics...tent, cooler, and a backpack...if you keep it lite, you'll definitely have an easier time setting up and luggin' TO and FROM the party site...if you think you're gonna need to make multiple trips to unload, then it's too much...also, if you can plan on getting there during the light, it'd prolly be best so you can see the road and NOT be a news story for the local paper...been to angels cramp enough times to know...keep it lite...keep it during the light...make sure you car is ready for it...would love to go to this, if it wasn't in angels cramp...of course most important, Don't Forget To Give Forest A Big Hug From "L"!!!

Organizing camps would definitely make it funner! You could even make it a theme camp! Woo! Have like a circle of tents of people you're cool with and enclose it somehow so you'll all feel safe in your cool little space.

Yea ive also had a feeling it was there to but never been there, since youve been there, i was wondering, if the road is like to bumpy or like not that possible for a regular car to get to the camp area

well...just to give ya an idea, last time we worked goa gil up there we went up in a jetta and got there, well, in one piece...if your ride in lowered in anyway, i wouldn't advise it...from what i remember, the first part of the road is kinda jacked up (alittle rocky and pretty bumpy), then it's alot of loose gravel and rocks the rest of the way up...and with the cliff to your passenger side, it can "appear" hairier than it is...whatever you're drivin', TAKE YOUR TIME! as long as the production crew is already up there, SO WILL THE PARTY...and once you're up there and parked, the spot is pretty worth it (of course, depending on who you ask...hehe)...also, i was asked to mention also...if the party is in the lower area, on your right side will be a hill with some trees at the top and a field of "grass", That's Not Grass...if i'm not mistaken, it's poison oak season so that's what that is, so DO NOT fall asleep/pass out in that area!!!...we've had ppls from our crew pass out there before and woke up itchin' and scratchin'!!! also, you might wanna camp close to the area of music that you favor bcuz if you're gonna be "exploring the universe" it's always nice to be close to some beats that'll keep your "trip" on the positive!!!...hope that helps...

oh and angel!!! Great Idea!!! but ya might wanna make it a horseshoe shape...that way you can trap Stragglers and that's a Great Way to meet more of the party too!!!...esp. when they think that they've reached THE END OF THE PARTY!!!...then it'll be fun for EVERYONE!!!...hehe
