Ahhh now THIS IS THE SECONDBASE I REMEMBER!! Just cause there is nobody from Enzyme doesn't mean it wont be a good party (haha ok I keed I keed.)
Seriously though, brotha this party is worth the trip (no piun intended) just for Luna-C. He will give you a new respect for UK Hardcore (though you never know WHAT he's gonna play since he also produces breaks, DnB, and Gabber - in fact...look up a track by him called "Smash Your Brain In"). Even if you don't see him at this party check him out the next time he's in the bay. Also...for all of you thinking that this party is just gonna be a happy happy fest there are more freeform producers then anything else (lots of NEC guys). In my 8 years of raving this is the most well rounded Hardcore party I've ever seen. Bonkers I've got a ton of them and I will be providing a list after BTB (including some of those Enzyme guys even though it's not my bag). |

I just saw Luna-C three months ago when he was out here. he's another that's great but I've seen so many times that it's not worth the trip out to L.A. for me. If you guys had a solid Dutch Hardcore headliner, I'd be all over it. Next time? (p.s EVIL ACTIVITIES!) |

Yea yea Dutch. Actually I'll be pushing for for some of those Japanese guys like I talked to you about before. Anyways I knew off that bat that convincing you to go to this party would be a waste of finger (though I think SCUL, Manik, Bio-Assault, and Ron D. Core are gonna play pretty fucking hard.) You gotta admit though...a Hardcore mini massive is pretty fucking sweet. When have you seen a hard dance lineup like this in California all together in one place? |

I saw Bexxie a few years ago, yeah. I kind of like Chris all by himself... I don't know how I'd feel about him tagging with someone because he kind of gets into a groove and just goes with it. I love watching the guy play, he's great.
Nocturnal Wonderland 1999 and Nocturnal Wonderland 2000. Both were jampacked with headliners. I don't remember the gabber room because I was into hhc back then, but it was something like Force & Styles, Brisk, Breeze and someone else (sy? slipmatt? vinylgroover? DNA?). I didn't get to go, but the lineup was astounding and it was the last time they ever booked a hardcore lineup like that. Sad |

As for Sy, he's scared to fly so he's never been out here. |

Oh yeah, I remember hearing about that Styles thing! I would love to see Sy. I'm not a huge fan of his own tunes, but I'd be into just watching him scratch 50% of his set. Every live set I've ever heard of his has tons of scratching. The man's crazy!

My point exactly. It fucking pisses me off that the rave scene is so huge in California (compared to the rest of the U.S. anyways) but the 'core (happy or hard) is so underrepresented. Thats why I was really stoked to see a HCFTP party even though I couldn't attend (being in L.A. and having a job.) Haha I just found out that Styles isnt his real last name. It's like Mew or something. Gawd I love Discogs Marketplace. Last edited by Conniption; 15.9.2008 at 4:53 am.. Reason: automerged doublepost |
