Deep house is terrible, and boring. Taking away all the fun, cheesy, danceable elements that makes house good doesn't make any sense. I mean house is already boring as is. If I wanted a deep rhythmic drone I'd rather listen to neurofunk than some muffled 4/4 kick with 'soulful sax riffs' hah!

But you like happy hardcore, which is some of the most obvious music ever....reminds me of masturbating when I was 13....all about the finish not about the journey.

Whereas deep house is more of a seduction, not a XXX fuck fest...

I appreciate happy hardcore, indeed. It was (note past tense) the rebel bastard child of the rave scene that didn't give a fuck. Anyway, my liking of hhc has nothing to do with my obviously deep and complex appreciation of all good music. Oh, and it doesn't matter what genre you play, any good DJ can take you on a journey.

Deep house sucks, plain and simple. NO SOUL.

LOL, such an oxymoronical statement...I don't know what you call deep house or who you're listening to...

I assume he would be refering to progressive, tribal, or otherwise boring house.

Dude JP, have you heard the Underworld Deep House remix album? It has Bjork and Orbital on it and a bunch of other stuff... and it's all Underworld remixes so you know it's sick. i have it but never play it, so if you want it let me know.

snoozefest.

I don't take myself seriously for liking happy hardcore. I think thats the whole point.

Once again thats not what I listen to. It's more of a nostalgia thing. I think the happy hardcore being produced these days are terrible.

At any rate, deep house is one of those genres where the oldskool producers did it better, so lets just leave it at that.

Yes, I would consider HHC and Deep House to be at opposite ends of the spectrum.

I just got this from a friend, have not heard it all the way through but it's nice...what I've heard is more along the lines of stuff that I dig.

Certainly not "drone" by any means.

makes me chuckle =D

Well yea, its fine if you're painting or screwing or on some lengthy acid trip, perhaps at a desert party. I guess what I'm trying to say is its most definitely not 'party' music by any means. And if I wanted to listen to chillout non-party music there are tons of other better options available that are more musical, rhythmic and/or interesting than your average deep house set.
