I wish you guys would have contacted any of the B33 Crew last night. You know how it is to talk to security anywhere... many times you won't get far. And in this case, where the assailant is friends with the security, security is not going to take your side and pursue it.

That doesn't mean you're out of options. You just needed to talk to the right people. In this case, the best option was probably to talk to one of the B33 Crew. We pay Blakes to pay the security. If they're not doing their job and making it a safe environment, then we're not getting our money's worth!

Man I'm really, really sorry to hear this. What a horrible story. I feel very bad for your friend. I hope he's okay and there's no long term injuries. It's very upsetting to hear that something like this happened because we work really hard to make the night a fun drama-free night where you guys can just relax and have a good time. I'm not okay with the security handling the situation in this way.

First, can you tell me what the security guard looked like that ignored the situation? I did see a couple of guys come in that must of been friends with the security because they didn't pay.

Second, how did you find out that the hispanic looking guy (the guy that pushed and punched your friend, right?) was friends with the security guard? I'm trying to find a connection to the security guard who is the friend of this guy.

I just want you to know that we'll do our best to help you resolve this situation. it did not go down like that. i was there for every minute of it. the kid got shoved down the stairs right in front of me. he was a little tipsy. accidentally grabbed the wrong drink at the bar. the macho asshole got up and shoved him down the stairs then followed him down at the bottom after i helped the kid up and slapped him. security was right there and let him do it. then came back down and talked to his other security buddy as i was sitting right there and said. "hey did you see that fool get slapped!?" and was laughing and joking about it talking all sarcastic and shit. oh and then the same security admitted to me that he was off duty but was rolling and was drunk too. and proceded to tell us that the guy that shoved our friend down the stairs was his friend and said he will talk to him. the security brought the kid that got shoved down the stairs a free beer then took off. WTF!? you don't give someone who just got shoved down some stairs a beer. the kid was obviously fucked up from the fall. i saw him 10 minutes before he got attacked and he was only tipsy. by the end of the night he was stumbling and rambling about some nonsense as if he got knocked out. racism has nothing to do with it. the dude was a "my dick is bigger than yours" kind of guy and almost got whooped by casper for messing with the wrong people.

So I was gonna post pretty much the exact same thing, but Jesse's basically got it covered here. I will add a few things though.

1. The security guard that laughed this all off, at one point threatened to beat Jesse's ass for supposedly giving him "a look" then proceeded to tell us he was off duty, drunk as fuck, and had taken a pill. SMART SECURITY, RIGHT? Right.

2. Same security totally tried to dance up on me. Aren't security supposed to STOP the creepers, not BE the creepers? Just saying....

3. If any other guy had started that shit, he would've been kicked out immediately, but because he was friends with security, he was allowed back in to further harass the guy. What the hell?

There are SO many things wrong with this picture it's not even funny.

Oh, and Casper, thank you for helping out. You're pretty much amazing. ^_^

I'll also point out how absolutely stupid a security guard has to be to hand an alcoholic drink to someone who has just be shoved down a flight of stairs, slapped, and is very obviously showing signs of being injured. Then, they don't even get contact info from the guy who did it? They didn't ask if Michael was alright or wanted to press charges, or felt if he was injured enough to need any medical attention. Nope, they just said "Here's a beer. Sorry that happened." and walked off. Then again, what the hell can you expect from security that isn't even smart enough to know not to mix E and alcohol?

damn! this really is shitty. i was there until about 12.30 and missed all of this but it definitely sounds pretty out of line. since i can't really speak to the actual event here's my take on blakes.
i went to resolution, kapow and now electro pop and every time (even last night) i've found it to feel REALLY safe, generally a younger crowd probably averaging around 18, and security tends to be really helpful and fair. the security that i saw last night working the bottom of the stairs was someone i hadn't seen before so i can't say much about him, but he definitely wasn't very friendly but not going out of his way to be rude to me as i passed him to use to the bathroom or go outside.
while i was there last night i didn't see anyone being super creepy, some dudes aggressively hitting on girls but thats nothing new. i actually had a great time vibing off of people on the floor, lots of people making eye contact and being stoked off the music.

sounds like a bad situation that was handled really un-professionally but i dont think this speaks to how blakes is run as a whole. i would bring it up to the promoter / venue cause i doubt they would approve of this security guards reaction to the event and his response to try and give the guy more to drink. props to casper for holding it down for fellow ravers!

btw, the tags are really ridiculous. that's a total cop-out to put those up, if you're racist or feel race had something to do with it, post it up under your name... dont do some anonymous hate-spam.

Now this guy is a total "non-raver". Some guy with an oversized white t shirt with saggy jeans. I observed him and looked like he was one of those hyphy "yo" guys trying to pick up on underaged girls. He was trying to act tough the whole time. If he shoulder to shouldered with anyone, he would pull that macho shit and say "yo get the fuck outta my way" and whatnot. I know cause he pulled that on me. Not to be racist, but his description was, he's little short, tanned, and has a shaved head. I believe he was of hispanic descent.

What pissed me off was Blakes "security" (more like drunkards they found off the bar and offered them $8 an hour to pretend to be security) didn't do anything, but even laughed about this situation.

After this all happened, my friend went into the bathroom to clean himself up, then we lost him. My friend kept trying to find him but she couldn't. At this point it all boiled up, so I went back to my car, grabbed a 800,000 volt taser, and came back with it in my pocket incase that guy approaches us and tries to start shit again.

We finally found my friend on the floor toward the back, he's only had about 6 drinks but he's behaving like he's had 15. We had to carry him to my car. He was saying stuff as if he was on acid or shrooms. We were freaked out because we thought that he gotten drugged, so I called my friend who has experience with this. He said most likely he got a concussion from the fall down the flight of stairs. That and the combination of alcohol is not good for him right now. We had to carry him inside and he's on the couch right now, snoring away.

I will not let this stand. I am going to pursue this.

I know several of you guys out there witnessed this. I won't say who, but please add to this thread if you saw this.

EDIT: He woke up this morning with a giant scrape down his back and bruises all over. His ID and phone is missing.

I confronted that guy about it, and almost got into a fight when that drunk thizzzed out security guard came over and protected him. unacceptable. I'll bring it up to the attention of the blakes staff

Anytime there is drinking, music, dancing, and drugs involved you run the risk of crazy stuff happening

sometimes crazy good stuff happens and sometimes crazy bad stuff happens

It makes me sad your friend had a crazy bad night

I am WAAAYY under the impression that it takes two to tango though.
I have never gotten slapped around at a bar/club/rave because no matter what I stay vigilint, and OVERLY respectful of the people around me....
You never know what the drunk person next to you has going through their mindso you have to WATCH OUT.
