the massive at candlestick was metropolis. ya most of the massives they used to throw back in the day were in oakland (homebase, 85 & baldwin). they dont throw massives in oakland anymore which could be why there arent many in the bay area anymore. ive been told that the city of oakland does not allow parties like that in there city anymore. they wont permitt them. back in 98-00 there were so many massives out here and not very many in LA. now all of them are in LA and very few out here. sad situation

Thank the law no to do any large parties you must be a reputable promoter and must a quire some of the most ridiculous permits and pay a very high insurance rate.

Yeah, there's another massive in LA coming up in September. It's called Nocturnal Wonderland (http://www.nocturnalwonderland.com). Saturday, Sept 13. Put on by Insomniac, same people who did EDC. Venue TBA.

But yeah Candlestick, Santa Clara fairgrounds, Henry J Kaiser, Homebase, 85 & Baldwin, bunch of other venues, they all have former rave funk.

Do you know of any raves that still happen in Santa Clara? or around that area?
