JULIANA, ARE YOU SAYING THAT
PLUR IS A JOKE??
But srsly, in response to this thread as a whole...."Raves" pretty much are outlawled & illegal already. If you mean the big SKILLS parties or even places with announced venues....those really arent raves anymore, they're electronic-music parties. The word gets thrown around too loosely, when alot of people seriously consider a true 'rave' to be something much more secretive & underground rather than these over-promoted parties with myspace bulletins & flyers going all around.
Just another case of a Jaded Raver proving their point.....raves were supposed to be about the music & being free from the troubles of the day while chillin with some awesome new people......but now its become a laughable rainbow bracelet fashion statement and a word you can throw around to seem like you know what you're talking about and have some kind of excuse when people disagree. Sure kandi is all in good fun, but taking it so seriously makes you appear delusional to the other aspects of what raves are about. Dont turn the rave scene into something it isnt. Raves were made to escape the whole idea of 'fads' and differentiating people apart in the first place.
All the posers are why im kinda jaded myself. Sure i wear a few kandi bracelets sometimes just to respect my roots, but honestly im not much of a raver. I'm simply a Trance Enthusiast. and where do you find trance? At Raves. (okay clubs too, but i still got a month until im 21 haha)
This thread is amazing
