Nice, now your buddy is considered a narc !! He got searched and booked for probable cause. He knew where the drugs were which made him an accomplice to dealing drugs. Kinda sucks huh ??

Lesson #1 = If a stranger ask you for drugs at a rave, you say "Sorry, i don't do drugs and don't know where to find them". This could keep your ass outta jail.

I must have been asked a good 6 times about pills. Granted I did look like the normal drugged up raver (shirt off, binkie in the mouth, dancing like a madman) but I've never had to turn away that many people before.

I mean, common. If you have 20,000 people, there's bound to be at least ONE undercover. I'm sure there were probably at least 500 of them there.

Rule of thumb: DON'T BUY ANYTHING AT MASSIVES. Even if it's from your best friend who you only see at the rave itself, don't buy from them inside the event. All they need to see is someone reaching into a pocket, and another guy with money for you both to get fucked. I don't know why anyone would by anything at a rave to begin with, prices are high as balls for lower quality product. Go around and meet people, I'm sure you can find someone who can get you whatever you want outside of the event.

As for the power outage, well I don't care. I honestly, truly, don't. Tiesto's set was sucking horribly to begin with, not to mention that it was just too hot for us in there. If I were in another room, I might have actually wanted to stay, but I felt it was good timing. It doesn't matter if it was a random occurance or if it was planned. The night was ended early, end of story. If you want to bitch about it, call up skills themselves and yell at them. Not only will this forum not get you anywhere, but you can't change what's already happened. Move on. If you or your friend got caught, well that sucks. You could rule it out as darwinism, seeing as how the more stealthy people didn't get caught.

AMEN BROTHER. I mean come on, who doesn't know there's going to be uc's at massives?? they will put on kandi they get from people they arrest.... I wouldn't even call it a sting.. there was no like major drug bust that's been in motion for months, it was just noobs selling to noobs. Suck sauce for whoever went down tho.

Just EXPECT uc's to be at massives and even large parties. be smart, remind your friends and bring awareness.

I just want to dance.

the people who think they were *in* on it or promoted the party *just* for the bust are idiots. yes, idiots.

and the people who think skills is over with, you are idiots as well. yes, idiots.

a) "Police Department, were involved in the undercover sting operation at the event, "etd.POP 2008," which was promoted as an electronic music festival."

that does not mean they promoted the party for the bust. it means they went on at the same time and skills HAS to let the sting operation go down.

b) the power outage was due to PG & E's incompetence. like mentioned before, turning off the lights would have made it even harder for people to get busted and cops to do their work. they would never do anything that could potentially make the situation worse, like a riot.

c) you're bitching because people got arrested for dealing? because there were tons of undercovers???

ECSTASY IS FUCKING ILLEGAL, ALONG WITH THE OTHER DRUGS THAT WERE BROUGHT IN.
RAVERS ARE IRRESPONSIBLE FOR THE MOST PART, as shown clearly by the amount of people that were too fucked up to walk straight in that place.

I have sold drugs before and i have friends that still do, and i have friends who have been arrested.

I do not blame the cops.

Like mandi and razor and several other said, why the fuck did people sell there?
because they care more about making some money then the risk of getting caught.

Skill was not in on it. In order to get such a large venue they HAD to have tons of their security, venue security, city police, and DEA agents.

STFU if you think skills is a crew that does not give a fuck about EDM and is a crew that is turning their back on ravers.

and they are not done with either.

the Loveparade after party will be fucking bomb with skills and spundae teaming up.

and if you hate on skills, don't fucking go.

BTW, UNDERGROUNDS WUT WUT!!!!!

BTW, you wanna know the best way to have the police/UCs not affect you one bit?

go fucking sober
do not deal drugs
forget that your friends are selling.

you do realize the drug shit that goes on is ILLEGALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

when i rolled and dealt, i expected cops to be on the watch, and i did not blame them.

and i stuck to undergrounds bwahahahahaha!

hooray for smoking weed while people pop pills and snort coke next to you

i'm not an idiot just because i won't be attending another skills party.
this happened to me 2 years ago in march with electro revolution 2.. i forgot what production company was throwing that party [they did that sacramento music festival thing too].. but i was the first one to post things about them, and i got bashed on by tons of people.. but that production company is gone now (:
i'm usually right.. but skills has way too much money to stop throwing overly hyped+ridiculously expensive parties.. sadly.

i'll be at lovefest, it's the shit
but definitely NOT the afterparty.. theres no point in even going to that.. why waste 70 dollars when ALL The same djs are playing on the STREET for free? on the same day? lolol

im not giving anymore of my money to skills.. sowwy

The sac music festival promoters ONLY did that one event as far as I know...and disappeared after ripping of people from their attendees to dj's and crews. I think there's a difference between the huge scam that happened with Sac Music Festival vs. Pop getting shut down an hour early.

But yeah, I have yet to be to a skills event, mostly because they never really book anyone I want to see, but also because massives are their own animal and are generally not what I like about partying. You get this mix of "Dress-code" club-goers and ravers add alcohol and MDMA, mix well?...nope...oil and water. Just creates a weird vibe for me. Not knocking their productions, they are pretty epic proportions, but not really ever been my scene.

But it's tough to say that if I was going, that this one event ending early would be a deal breaker for me.

ohhh, no they did more than one event. they switched names to hide it. they threw one in sacramento and a couple in marysville before the sac music festival. two of the scariest raves ive ever been to.. one of which the cops came and tried to put a net over dancing ravers to get them in the pattywagon. not fun. :x

the way the cops treat ravers has NOTHING to do with the crew.
NOTHING.

and you don ot have to pay 70 dollars for the love-fest after party!

pre-sales fool!

and they aren't the same djs spinning inside and out.

skills has been around for longer than any massive crew on the west coast.

you are not an idiot for saying you will not go to another skills party, you are ignorant for saying that they steal the money of their ravers.

did you see the production at pop??!?!?!?!?!

do you know what money it takes to make that happen?!?!?!

best production i have seen at all the massives i have ever gone to.

once again:

THE WAY THE COPS TREAT YOU HAS NOTHING, NOTHINGTO DO WITH THE CREW.

1. It was widely known that there would be undercover cops at the rave, I'm sure I saw several people posting about this here on RL.
2. On all of the fliers it says that drugs and such are prohibited.
3. San Mateo County is obviously not as relaxed as SF or Alameda county when it comes to parties.

If you were stupid enough to get caught, then honestly, I think you deserve it. It's unfortunate that some of you had friends who got busted, but what do you expect when there is a massive event that pretty much revolves around drugs? Don't sling at parties! And don't buy at parties either, because chances are, you're paying way too much for bogus pills.
