POP review!!

Got there around 9:30 or so. Had a good time. Awesome vibe. No one gave a fuck and just wanted to have a good time. Saw a lot of old faces. AWESOME Hardcore room done RIGHT. This party was so good they literally blew the power on the entire block. Nuff said. Thumbs way up Skills!!

This was actually my first time at a rave . Even though it ended early due to whatever electrical issues, I had a blast. I made my way around when i first got there checked all the areas out. Pretty much stayed in the trance room once Markus Schulz got on the decks though.

Dunno if i met any RL'ers but hopefully we cross paths sometime soon!

I was mostly in the trance room, I too enjoyed the schulz set, tiesto's was less than awesome. Most people were fucking cool, security was chill. Nice Venue.

Erm, I do want to beef about traffic, the crowd control and flow was nearly stagnant, frustrating efforts. Lots of teenyboppers.

I just waited around with one of those "car partys" if you will until the cops said 5 minutes! There was no way i was going to spend an extra hour chilling in my car trying to get out.

Had a blast, never taking my pain killers along with other things at a rave again. Other then that I had hella fun, it was trippy to see Tiesto blow out the power, but oh wells

I decided to go sober, and had nothing but an energy drink. Nice party, I was in the hardcore room most of the time. I visited all the rooms, and liked the hardcore room the most.
I tried the RL meetup, but without success. I got there at 8:45, and spent 30 minutes searching, but with no avil, and ended up going to the wrong person.

It was a bummer that the power grid went down, and we had to leave at 1AM. I feel that the $70 a paid wasn't fully used.

On a positive note, I was lucky to find a parking space on the side street, a block away from the site. Not only did I save myself $15 in parking fees, but I had no problems getting out, as I went around the traffic mess. Once I was in my car, I managed to get to the highway (101 North) in under 5 minutes, and I was home sweet home here in the East Bay in under 20 minutes. I have the ability to carry 4 passenger, but I was only carrying 1.
Some planning ahead, as well as thinking saves alot of hassle in the future. This is something I've took into consideration.
Again wished the RL meetup went as planned, but next time.

I went to mostly every room.

It was quite awesome, except for the electrical problem, that was all bad.

And the parking, I actually decided to take a nap in my car.

Woke up 20 minutes later and everyone was still in the same place.

Although I got our fairly easy since the back was open and the cops were doing all the traffic stuff.

Good vibe, way better than what I expected at a massive.
The hardcore room was on hit mode.
I was DnB/hardcore most of the night (unsurprisingly)
I had trouble with the RL meetup, too.. I thought it would have made more sense (and I was expecting it to be) in the halls rather than inside the main room.
Didn't get to see Sharkey because of the power outage..
Disco gave me really amazing Kande.. it's almost too nice.
It was really nice and cool the whole time.. which was reaaally nice.
I never found the breaks/house area.
Didn't end up going to GBH like I thought I would (two of our group (including me) didn't have IDs.)

All in all, I put my platforms to good use, and my makeup is only slightly fucked even though I already slept about an hour or two.

Pop was fucking amazing.
I saw soooo many old faces and met some really cool new people. [: I really liked markus schulz's and ferry corsten's sets. Wish i could've taked more pictures but my camera died really early. :/ Sucks that all the power blew out during tiesto's set but i had a really great time while i was there. The hardcore/dnb and house/breaks rooms were really cool too.

And thank you everyone for making this one of the best nights of my life. I love all of you sooooo much.

it was fucking AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

i had been determined to go since i missed POP '07 because i was in utah with family, so i'd been looking forward to it for hella days.

it was really really really neet. i spent most of the nite in the main room. the cirque du soleil-esque dancers were so amazing...i really wanna do that ribbon dancing thing...

and i cannot believe that the power went out. like...i didn't even know that was possible...like...i was just so flabbergasted when it happened, and i was so glad when people didn't instantly freak out and the place didn't break out into chaos once the lights went out.

we chilled in the parking lot for a bit. it was pretty fun. i think we should do that sometime, like just park in a lot and have a raver tailgate party...mhmm.

i wanna do it again!!!
