Lowball, I applaud you mann. When I first moved here, I really didn't have any friends. A guy from work recommended that I go with him to TRI-PEN, so I went, and ever since then I have become "hooked" as well. ANd by hooked, I don't mean just going there to butt-up youngsters or doin drugs. Rather, meeting new people, making friends, dancing, embracing the good vibes and most of all, not feeling left out. ALso, I have tried the club scene and it's nothing like raving. Rodger |

Appearances can be deceiving!
After many, many years of partying I still don't take the time to dress up/down/around/whatever when I go out, so I usually just show up in a t-shirt and jeans. I'm shy as well to people I don't know, so I think I've been 'that guy' before... standing off to the side, quietly drinking a drink and generally looking like I'm there because I have nothing better to do. The truth is, it's at those moments that I'm enjoying myself the most. I love to just relax, hang back and enjoy myself while listening to great music. I love to meet people too, but sometimes there's a strange serenity to partying alone. :-) |

okay so like some non ravers decide to go to a rave because they already have done drugs and want to go to a place that would be cool to be on those drugs they dont really care about anything else about plur or making freinds
those people can suck it we dont need them or their money we can manage ourselves we're a family&we'll always keep this scene alive with or without them people i hate seeing these people you know the ones that stand on the sidelines lookin all glum and you say hello or like at pop ya cork i smile give em a hug and say happy new year and they look at you like wat? do i know you? then like thnk i want them to fuck me. nuh uh im not down for that or those drug dealers who stand trying to look like da shit so you know theyre dealing and thats all they do the whole night they doint even look for a good time damnnnn you know what i mean. help keep our ravver family to stay genuine everyone |

well what defines a raver?
I say that it's attitude and not clothes or drugs or anything like that. If someone's there to have a good time with friends, because they love the music, if they're respectful to others and give them love and hugs or kisses, then aren't they a raver regardless of what they're on or how they're dressed? For instance, just if I'm wearing more normal/laid back clothes instead of being in costume, just because I didn't come wearing any kandi, doesn't mean I don't want to meet people and become friends, even almost family. doesn't mean I'd ever be rude to you, doesn't mean that I don't want your kandi, etc. I'm there because I love the scene and the music, because of plur, whether I'm dressed up or not, sober or high, and I hope people will accept that and share the love back to me. I think that true non-ravers come in 2 categories: people who want to see if raving is something they like, and people who just want to do drugs. The first category I welcome with open arms, they're what keeps things going. The second, well at least they're hopefully being safe and respectful. The only time I really have a problem with someone is if they're making it hard or impossible for others to enjoy themselves. |
