Didn't anyone notice the hundred or so federal agents working security, dancing and making sure to show off all of their fake tattoos at once, or smaoking fake joints and tailing people that might be doing illegal things. I sure did.

the UC's definitly had candy looking ravers too. I sat back and watched their whole set up. They had people who would come up and ask and if you looked thirty feet away there were watchers that would text and or take a photo and pics message to someone else. They would then follow and break away to let someone else follow. When they broke away they would put their hand on their head with a finger or glowstick pointing straight up and make aq yip sound to signal the other follower to follow the person they were tailing. We weren't even selling drugs but a friend made the mistake of asking what were they looking for, after that we had a tail for the rest of the night.

I really didnt notice any of that, sure there were lots of cops and security, but they were all pretty chill about everything, and i know they werent after people smoking pot, because half the people smoking pot i can guarentee have cards, and even if they were feds they didnt seem to care about the weed because i didnt see any busts or anything, but maybe i was just to busy having fun instead of being paranoid

Yeah, I had no problems with narcs or anything, in fact, I don't even think I met one. The whole night was awesome for me.

Crazy huh, I was sober all night and for the 25 or so people I watched get grabbed by the paddy wagon when they got a block away from the civic center, I guess I must have been having a flashback or something. Oh maybe the cars that tailed my friend for 50 blocks to my house were hallucinations to, maybe but I don't think so.

Yeah pnoid is short for paranoid. Thats what happened to me after that party. I have been going to raves since 93 and never saw shit like that. I nolonger partake in activities that would have FEDS following me and havn't in years. You either think I'm a wackjob or you think that given the recent political atmosphere in our country this is plausable and over time will become inevitable. I saw atleast 5 ambulences take away ravers that collapsed. What do you think the realistic actions the government will take if that is the norm for large parties? I've been to hundreds of massive parties in over twenty states and that is the norm. I have only been attending one or two a year for old times sake, and the police pressence has consistently grown. I am almost thirty now and can look back on my party years( going out three or more times a week) and feel that now more than ever I have the awarness to spot law enforcment. Now, I guess because of my age my thoughts are reaching out further than the mindless self endulgence of youth and considering the implications of the ability of our government to go after buisness men and an entire genre of music without people realy geting bothered by it. Maybe I see all the land of the free shit I learned as a child now, Maybe I'm just getting old.
I'll leave it at that beeing if you begin to discuss something that is to real for the dreamy rave world even if it does have a place in a RAVE DISCUSION FORUM. It seems many people on these boards want to stick their heads in the sand and pretend the dream world will never go away( or exsist without the threat of malicious incarceration) |
