Oh yeah, it's was banging. Best underground I've been to up here. Best part it was in the East Bay, not enough east bay parties. I was soooooooooooo drunk, had a brew at every point last night. If you smelled grapes, probably was me, lol. The music rocked too, not sure who all played last night. Wasn't planning on a party last night, it was last minute. Glad it was word of mouth party. No dumb ass people starting shit or fighting over slanging were there. Just people looking to party and have fun. Wondering when the next East Bay Party is, cause you know I'll be there.......

Are "Vatos" not welcome to raves, or renegades? "Vatos" as in Mexicans? "Vatos" as in gangsters? Or as in, Those guys dressed like "Vatos". VATO:: Vato (also Bato) is a Mexican slang equivalent to "man", "dude", pal, or brother. The vato loco, ("crazy dude", "cool guy") is someone who is "fully immersed in la vida loca" ("the crazy life"). Some scholars have characterized the bato loco as an archetype in Chicano culture. Do you mean Cholo? CHOLO:: In Mexico and north, Cholo is a term implying a typically Mexican mestizo gangster. A cholo is stereotypically depicted as wearing baggy chinos (khaki pants) or khaki shorts with white knee-high socks with either a pair of slippers or sometimes Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star shoes , so-called wifebeater undershirts or white t-shirts, flannel shirts buttoned all the way to the top or unbuttoned except for the top button, and a shaved head, slicked-back hair or a bandana. Popular "cholo" brands include Dickies and Ben Davis. This same designation may also be associated with black ink tattoos, commonly involving gang calligraphy, or family names and art. A cholo might also stereotypically own a lowrider, prefer music like Zapp and Roger's "More Bounce To The Ounce" and "Doo Wa Ditty." He might also employ the Chicano term of ese in a way to call someone dude, like "What's up, ese?" or "¡Órale, ese!". This word in Spanish means that one or that guy, but it also is the letter S, which some have said stands for Sureño, a member of a certain street gang. Another term with essentially the same meaning is Vato, which can be used in the same way. so..... Are Cholos, and or Vatos not welcome? I had a few Homeboys inside, lovin the music.....did they bother you? I can tell them there not invited next time. |
