The vibes at the crackhouse were crazzzzzzyyy wierd... that hallway was not fun, But i have to say, there were some AMAZING fucking hardcore sets! It was way too hot, way too crowded, and way too...i dunno, cracked out... I was kinda confused what i was doing the entire time cause it was so crowded i didnt really have room to dance so i just kept kinda walking around trying to find where i was comfortable. Two of my friends got turned away at the door because of their backpacks and didnt want to leave them in the car because one of the windows was broken and it doesnt have a trunk (civic hatchback) so they ended up leaving and planned on picking us up after the rave (Bad idea, i wasn't involved in this or else i probably would have figured out something else) so when it got shut down 2 of my friends had to stand on street corner to wait for their ride =/. The night wasn't a total loss though because i got to chill with a bunch of friends i dont see much anymore and rave it up at a friends house.

Oh yeah, and the fan in the hardcore room with the front screen thing barely hanging on rocking back and forth on top of a speaker... i was scared to death it was gonna come down and chop open my head =|

So this is just one of many comments about the energy of the place itself. I wonder about that some times. I mean, supposedly this is one of the older venues in the area..maybe it's just always been a cracked-out vibe there. Perhaps it's haunted by the cracked out parties that have happened there in the past and everyone can feel that vibe when they're there.

I dunno, there were a couple of venues back east that had that vibe, some promoters just threw parties like that too, though that doesn't seem the case here. Like everyone there was strung out, or just seemed like lots of weird people, something...I dunno, generally I stopped going to parties at those locations or by certain promoters just cause they always felt strange. And had I been "enhanced" in any way, I'm sure it would have been a downer. I don't believe that E makes everything nice, rather everything nice makes E nice, or something...it's early...need coffee. YUM!

Anyway, props to Zaps for pulling the venue outta their butts. That shite sucks but the did their best.

This was my first rave at the crackhouse (and probably my last) and i felt the vibe pretty much as soon as i walked in the door. many of the people just were not nice. the only thing that i loved about the venue (influenced by my state, probably) was the couch setup in back of the hardcore room. amazing chillout spot, with non chillout music. that, i loved. and the fan back there made things much cooler when giving lightshows, thank god. so, couches good, vibe, heat, DnB closet, hallway bad.

theres def a history of that kinda stuff with parties at the crackhouse. its just not equipped to hold such an overhyped event like ekn2. and about the peeps who werent entirely nice, that's a problem that was persistent through the end of '05 @ parties. believe it or not, people that could give a shit less about plur are down to come out and go dumb.

they pay, they get in. can't discriminate. there was a lotta drama, but it had died down since All About It.. maybe cuz there werent any parties at smaller oakland venues? who knows. anyhow. it's all good. we're lucky to be in the bay cuz so what if one weekend blows.. there are raves EVERY fuckin weekend. aside from the $25, it's not too big a loss!

Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I was double booked that night due to scheduling problems. An LA promoter changed the date of his show to the day of EKN2. I was planning on doing both, but we all decided that due to the loss of the original venue for EKN2 it would probably be best to just play the LA show. Hope you can make it to PLAY HARD! this Saturday at an all new, clean, beautiful, and amazing, VIRGIN location!

First of all i wanted to say it was nice to meet some of you Tatto, bunz, funshine, Curly (props to you for finding me

) and others i may not have mentioned. Honesty i think everything as already been said about this party. I Ended up leaving around 12 to many cracked out vibes! See you all at the next party!
