scott brown was a great producer, up to about 2002, doesn't really hit me as a great dj tho, brisk cant produce for shit on his own, but he's got to be the best hardcore dj i've ever seen.

anyways, I pretty much hate anything past 2003, just all sound the same and is pretty much just spead up harder trance.

old school happy hardcore =
you just gained 10 points

Happy Hardcore is an oxymoron.

It's like painting a bomb pink.

No sir, I don't like it. It's like the different between Slayer and Bon Jovi to me, one is hard one is not.

It's hard if you're a pussy who can't handle real hardcore. It's hardcore light...

Happy Hardcore came from all the kiddies not understanding the music and deciding that hardcore wasn't positive enough for them so they queered it up.

A distored kick does not a hardcore track make.

Maybe I should be more specific. Terrorcore, speedcore, noisecore, gabber...that's hardcore, early Rotterdam...hardcore.... Rotterdam Terror Corps, Lenny Dee, blah blah... hardcore

i wouldn't call myself a hardcore fanatic, but I do know a whole lot about music and the history of EDM.

hhc DID NOT come from kiddies who did not understand music, it's roots are deep and derived from early dnb/oldskool hardcore which was being developed by musical genii. It is the bastard child of an era where twisting shit up creatively with innovation was the standard of the day.

I think its retarded to think of hhc simply in terms of speed and 'distorted kicks'. Just based off of the things you've said, you don't have any clue what you are talking about.....and judging from your fuckin awful 2-bit casio calculator tunes on your myspace you REALLY have no right to any musical opinion AT ALL.

Remember just because its dark and 'hard' doesn't make it good. Being hard for the sake of being hard, and not for the sake of being good are two different things.

It's gross...it's minimal, and it sounds like someone is swinging a cat by it's tail and slamming it into a wall.

do not want.
