ok this is just an idea. i want your opinion cuz ive been pondering this for a while.
so im thinking that maybe they should just post on myspace or ravelinks that you cant get into the library if your not wearing like a certain amount of kandi on or sumthing. like atleast 3 pieces? its just an idea. i mean we need to figure sumthing out to ensure the safety of the true ravers who are not just trying to party and beat up girls right? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Heh. Interesting idea, but I know of a few people that consider kandi to be toxic, and it would burn welts into their arms were they to wear even a single piece (haha junglists)
We thought of a few things. The largest problem was the lack of security at the door, and since its our party again, we don't have to worry about that, our own people will be there. That and toning down the sheer amount of parties being held there. Bayshifters and a few birthday bashes will be all for a few months at least. The library is safe when done correctly. Erik |

This is just an idea but a couple of my crew and myself are actually private security with acuall guard cards and training and such. We would be willing to work a couple library events (I just don't want to see it go under because of one bad night and some stupid hyphy kids.) Erik pm me if your interested. I am planning on being at bayshifters tomorrow night just look for the large kandy kid with the gir beanie ^_^)

why not only let in people who have dropped 6 pills? that would be just about as clarifying. Last edited by jimichunga; 6.3.2008 at 9:03 pm. Reason: nevermind, hardly anyone here thinks before they post. |

Why not just MAP POINTS like other parties?
(and somewhere besides just SKILLS where every map point is these days) Pick up a wristband at the map point, get a password, or a little piece of red paper with a silver star sticker on it that you give to the front (or even a SECOND map point). Simple as that. Map point + Shuttles to the party is also another possibility, but i think shuttles would be over-doing it for the library. They DID used to use them all the time for the crackhouse a longass time ago though. Now that everybody knows where it is, they just walk right in. Or we can just stop using (or overpromoting to their full capacity) venues that are right in the middle of the fuckin ghetto where we KNOW its shady. Even if we had to deal with mappoints and shit, the thugs on the street can just see/hear the party and walk right in and start shit. In this case, either better security would be needed, or we can just be more cautious of this venue by not Over-Promoting parties there all over myspace/bayraves/ravelinks and just keep it under wraps. Yeah i like this idea best^ |

Um, last Bayshifters I was at, which was the last one, um, the door person, or lady, was drunk as fuck. I dont know if she is on here, she is hella nice and chill but its hard to be door girl when your drunk, people were leaving in bunches and coming in and it was surprising that the cops really didn't pester all too much. I'm sure bayshifters this Friday will be fun and safe, its a rave, ya know, its not cool to say to people, "Your not allowed in because you dont look like a raver." Music is loved by all, can't judge by what the people wear, but yeah, I know you can tell the different between the ghetto people, but I met some real nice guys, all dressed up from a hyphy movement that actually were having fun and being safe at a rave, so, its hard to judge who should get in or not. Hope it all goes well Friday! ![]() |

How about a password? Make it something pretty specific, not too complicated. Its also possible that party-goers could spill the passcode or kandi code or whatever the hell we set up... but it could help.
But who is to say that these douche bags don't visit ravelinks? It would certainly help though. Keep the ravers in, but would make it kinda hard for the newbies... but that's okay, they can make their way in if they make good connections... and by going to permitted parties first. |
