We should to get together and throw more / bigger renegades in SF, I miss them! I remember like, February there was one or two every weekend, it was sweet. I'll even be down to help while I'm not at work. Let me know.

The more renegades there are, the higher the chance of cops finding out. Thus, less spots to be used as well - and theres alot of great places that most of us dont want getting ruined.
Plus alot of renegades still happen these days........you just wont find any mention of them on rave messageboards (the way it SHOULD be dammit!). Renegades are always fun though, a nice change in environment. ![]() |

Basically a party that you have to get invited to. There are no permits, no serious promoting, or money grubbing. Just good music, good vibes, and great times.

This can be true, I've been pretty lucky with the renegades i've been to, but in order for a renegade to be successful, a lot of variables need to fall into place... let's not forget, most renegades (that i've been to) don't stop anybody from coming into the mix. So nowadays a successful renegade to me, doesn't get shut down, nobody gets hurt by anyone else or the "venue", and the music is usually hit or miss.

Good renegades happen at least once a month out here in the bay sometimes more than once a month. My crew has been rocking the bay proper for the last four years and our renegades just keep getting better and better.

(I put the |'s in to disable those silly po|p u|p a|ds)
Those "underground" renegades that I have been to usually turn out to be a bunch of late 30 something people that look like they belong in national geographic. Which is quite expected, since getting to the spot is always like going on a jungle safari. And the music goes right along with the discovery channel theme too - some blisteringly brilliant modern house where someone dinks around with some VS|Ts for 20 minutes to make a 2 second loop, uses some canned bass and snare, throw some filters on it, and drag it out over 5 minutes...or skip the first step and just jack a loop from a 25 year old so|ng and do the same crap over again... I want the open, inclusive parties with the open inclusive music of all kinds - saying you are part of an exclusive crew is simply petting your own ego and makes you look like a jackass. ~chris. |

This seems pretty specific considering that there are DnB, hardcore, breaks, psytrance, and all other sorts of renegades. That being the case, I am uncertain if this is intended to be a direct comment on a specific crew or not, but if so, perhaps you could just be direct or STFU. |
