Wisdom is knowledge realized.
That's the difference between knowledge and wisdom is that you can know something without having had personal experience that led you to that knowing. Whereas with wisdom, the truth of a matter has been defined by your experience of it. Simply creating an event is not the same as creating a place for people to do drugs. People do drugs. People dance. The two almost always overlap. But their relationship is not mutually dependent. People choose to do those things for themselves. Sometimes people just need to get over themselves. So in light of that...and especially for starting this thread. ![]() People have always done mind altering substances...I think we do need an environment and people in it that help people make responsible and informed choices. I think having Dance Safe present sends a message of self responsibility and sets a tone that is more realistic then "don't do drugs until you're 18." That's just not realistic. Is this all that needs to be done? No, not nearly enough in my opinion, but it is a step in the right direction. This country and culture has such a hang up on drugs because of the taboos placed on them. It is a natural equal and opposite reaction for people to rebel against that by over-indulging. But no one is lending a hand either. If is makes you made, go fucking inform someone about your experiences and lead by example. Don't bitch at someone for making a decision for themselves and owning it. That just makes you look bad. |

I might be wrong here, but I don't think adams original thought was promoting it for minors to do drugs in a safer environment. Though the discussion it came up that yes if these minors did come and such it would be better then a renegade. Which these kids are going to go to either as they are already in the rave scene for them the only two choices is to go to either events like this one or a renegade. Everyone I know got into the scene from a peer. So it seems to me that these fliers are only promoting and mainly get to only people already in the scene, so it is just more something fun to put on them and have a theme. Well that's my view on it anyway. Also though looks like it did make him think and thats why there is now dance safe at the party. So hopefully he will do some other stuff to help also.
Anyways I'm still going to have kick ass time dancing to kick ass music without anything but lots of water to stay hydrated and glowsticks for more dancing fun. ![]() |

I used to have dance safe at all my parties (been throwin them since 02')
Took a break in 04' when I came back I didn't see them at any. I wasn't sure if they still did it. But they do... But they haven't responded back so I'm not sure what the dilly is.... and let it never be said that I'm opposed to CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I just can't stand prejudice. That's really all this was. Pre-judging me b/c of my flier |

I'm already completely done talking about this subject because everything has been said. But I just wanted the public to know that Adam is still trying his hardest to keep it going:
