Ok kids so heres the thing I have been around for quite some time partying all over, I have seen how different the scene is and how some places have the original old school vibe like it was back in the day, and how some places have changed to become more of a business profit which in some ways is understandable but the scene has changed non the less. Some places are based on mainstream parties with high amount of profiting and others are just starting up a scene starting from story's and ex ravers point of views and ideas, thus having an older vibe an underground vibe. The underground vibe is a great vibe but the mainstream vibe is good as well.
My problem is that being in the scene for the amount of time I have has changed, not only me but I have seen that by a observed view others run at and on a different level. Where and What happened to the Original way of Raving the unwritten rules and laws and codes. Seeing all this kinda does play a large part in the form of a jaded person. Time and change its uncontrollable granted but my question is can you help bring back the Original vibe and way of raving help make it true the way it is suppose to be can you help make us older raves the ones that the sad shame of jadedness fell the love and the one and only real thing that there is for a raver again yes im talking about PLUR. Thank you for reading Taellon The PLUR HERO |

I want people to bring it back...I wasn't even there and I want it back!
I remember when I was little I would always hear about raves and my friends older brothers and sisters going to them. They sounded amazing...but since I started it doesn't seem to be the same as the stories I would hear about it. I don't know...I just feel there are people that only go for drugs or because it's "cool". |

Will never forget the hour conversation about this very subject we had on Christmas. You need to write and print an underground zine! I will totally foot printing costs if you really want to start one!

You know what I remember about raves back in the day? only like 5 years ago...but that counts as back in the day for me...
the raves i would go to they were RAVES not parties i mean parties are great but when it's all about socializing and getting fucked up rather than the music and the dancing it becomes just a party i used to go to raves by myself, or with just ONE friend that i'd drag along because i knew they liked the music. completely buttfuck sober. I didn't go to be "cool" or to make hella friends. I never spent a lot of time socializing. You know what I did? I FUCKING DANCED. That's what it was all about. I'd dance hard too. The real raving I did back in the day...when I got home I could barely walk because my legs were so sore from dancing for 6 hours...completely sober one thing i noticed about a couple raves i've been to...was that it was just an excuse for some kids to get high/drunk and socialize, hit on girls etc. a lot of the time, new kids to the scene, or someone's first rave. I'm all down for new kids to bust into the scene... but if you're not even there for the music or dancing...just go to some hyphy house party and listen to mac dre.....cuz i don't know about them but i've been listening to electronica since i was like 12 ![]() |

Well being the old guy that I am, I help bring the old back in raves. [/bad joke]
A rave is only as good as the people who attend. If their mindsets are mostly positive, then there will be good vibes. The promoters and DJ's can only do so much, but it's up to the attendees to make into either a rave, or just a gathering. Unfortunately, more and more people who attend these events do not bring that positive energy that a rave is entirely dependent on. They're going either to make money from selling drugs, to take advantage of non-sober girls, or to simply get fucked up. And most of these kid's egos are so huge, that any little thing done to them by a stranger is considered an insult. How do you bring about a unified scene when some people are entirely unapproachable? If things continue to go as they are going right now, these events will no longer serve as raves, but just as parties. If people really give a damn about this, maybe they should put a little more effort in educating those first timers that they bring with them, and more than just blindly throwing a silly little acronym around. A little knowledge can go a long way. |

I agree with Silver, I wasn't even around for the old raves but I want them back! I go to raves completely buttfuck sober, always have always will. You can ask just about anyone who knows me, I go to dance, and make sure everyone else has a good time. When I bring people with me for their first time I tell them to do it sober to just experience the night, then do whatever the fuck they want. I personally bring all the good vibes and PLUR that I can muster, and I practice PLUR in my life every day.
I wish you all Peace, I love you all, I dream of a unified scene, and I respect all of you in every way ![]() |
