So, due to a recent credit bump as well as upcoming moneh from the government, I've decided to get a couple of tables, a mixer and a vinyl collection together to start playing around with the thought of DJism. However, I dont know of too many big hardcore vinyl stores with huge collections around here, even though I'd rather support local stores and paying $60 shipping to get my stuff from the UK kinda sits sour. So, if anyone happens to know a place that has some of these or you happen to run into them somewhere, please let me know!
Current wishlist: Thin n' Crispy - Wakey Wakey (Orbit 1 Remix) Breeze & Lost Witness - Rise Again (Sy & Unknown Remix) Breeze & Styles - Heartbeats (Scott Brown Remix) AMS - Little Pills Pulsonix - Lift Me Up Petrol Heds - Looking Out Al Storm - Never Ever Breeze - Tsingtao Joey Riot - Twighlight Zone Ephexis & Seventy 7 - Psymbiosis Draft & Method - Torn to Pieces (Alistair Storm Remix) Heaven 7 - Kontact DJ Heaven 7 - Speak Of Love (Brisk & Vagabond Remix / Al Twisted & JFX Rmx) Shauny C - Crazy (Dougal Remix) Anon Vs. Foreigner - Cold As Ice (Weaver & Suae Remix) Antix - Another Life (Kevin Energy Remix) And, on the damn-near-impossible-to-find-in-stock wishlist: Arkitech - Dehumanise 2007 EFM-7 - Raver Raver Raver (S3RL Remix) |

Skills is a great place to start. When you are ready to move up and start importing from the UK check out [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] marketplace, [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. On a side note I have most of those records. "Raver Raver Raver" is just well.. cheese done wrong IMHO. P.S. THERE IS A LOT MORE TO HARDCORE THAN JUST UK HARDCORE. EXPLORE THE OLDER HAPPY STUFF. I'd like to see more people supporting the older happy sound. Too many people just buy new records and mix them together. Just because something came out in 96 or 97 doesn't mean it still won't blow away the dance floor. I could go on forever about this but I will leave it at that. Catch me at Through The Looking Glass for an oldskool happycore set. Good Luck with the DJing and maybe I'll see you around! -Dan |

I loaf mah UKHC though D:
I ended up cracking and just placed an order with hardbeatstore, then went to Nu Energy USA to fill in a few gaps. Looks like a few things on my import order are out of stock though, so I guess I'll get them whenever. I knew this was a pricey hobby before I got into it, but man. $120 for cartridges and $240 in vinyl + shipping. I can see why CDJs are getting os popular. |

Many hardcore DJ's spin on CDJ's but most of the time they produce their own stuff or ripped from vinyl -> mp3. Good luck escaping vinyl with hardcore. I'm pretty much still 100% vinyl. There are digital releases out there: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] Amazing unreleased tunez on Quosh. |

Oh, don't get me wrong... I still most definitely plan on being a vinyl DJ to the bone... A lot has been said about the virtues of CDJing, though. I've heard having to only lug around a small CD case rather than a vinyl box is nice, too.
By the way, do you know of ANYTHING from Nerve Centre? I found the track Get Busier from Bonkers 17 to be insane, but I've searched high and low for any info on the track or the artist and they seem to be an absolute ghost. |

One of my main gripes with hardcore (as much as I LOVE it) is that it sometimes takes 2-3 years for tracks to come out, and sometimes they are changed when released. Get used to this because it happens frequently. This is another reason why I find it easier to just buy older better quality stuff (not saying this song is bad because I need to go back and listen to B17 to know what track you're talking about). |

your gonna have a bitch of a time finding hardcore vinyl here in the USA.
here are some online shops you should check out imorecords.co.uk [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] vinylsearcher.com (mostly classic hardcore, pretty pricey) if you cant find any records you want, you can go here [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] pretty much every hardcore vinyl record ever made can be found here, but it's peer to peer sales, and pretty expensive. But worth it. just remember, Vinyl is FINAL, fuck them blasphemous CDJ audio destoying software crap, Hardcore till I die |

new hardcore shipment should be arriving within the next month here at skills! got about 25 titles and about 40 records total. We are one of the only record stores left in the bay area, let alone the united states dedicated to dance music, so come in and support the Local scene!
