Santa Cruz?
There have been many raves in Santa Cruz. In fact 3 or 4 summers ago, there were about 20 just in one venue downtown. Just so you know... |

Yeah there were like some hardcore shows a while back... And some other techno stuff like at the Attic. But this one was different from any one in Santa Cruz that i've been to. And I've tried out quite a few.

I think the promoters did a good job setting up, I was only there for the last bit so I did not see it in full swing. However I was weirded out by the 11 year old girl wearing pleater pants heels a bra and heavy makeup and rolling on like 3 pills. Good Lord the few times I have rolled I hope to god I have not looked that fucked up. Although I am 22 and keep my clothes on rofl. Its a good spot, close to my house lol, they id a good job with having a chill spot, and places to sit. Good Lights!
But yes keep having events in SC, try to get them to run past 1 or at least have an after party spot for us older folk. Maybe invite only? Overall good job, it just weirds me out to see kids that young, that fucked up. Oh and thanks for letting me in for free since it was so late! oh and like 3 years ago there was several raves in SC at this spot in fact. Warp was one of them. GOOD JOB |

It was well put on! Great music, GREAT lighting and visuals, loved the theme. I really appreciate it, just as much as the choice of music, when promoters really put together the atmosphere. It was obvious that they love the scene and us!

That was my first time back at the 418 since hardcore parties. I even broke out my old raver pants for it.
It was a hella fun party, altho tho i felt really old being surrounded by 15 year olds. The vibe was really good, as was the music. Got trashed outside the venue and saw some old friends. I hope more parties like this start materializing in SC cuz god knows there are no good places to go dancing in town. |

the whole party sounded like a god damn joke
go deep? stellarhole ? .. my mind is in the gutter 24/7 so bare with me but the fact that the flyer said you can get in cheaper with a student ID HAHAHAH wtf thats really promoting the drug use for the underage and as i recall there used to be a bunch of renegades up in seaside |

Hahaha, yeah, definate sexual inuendo in the name. Yeah there were a lot of younger people there... But you older people should invite your friends! Our idea of a good party is everyone getting together that can bring a good vibe. (Cliche' Right?) But it's true! As far as student ID discounts are concerned, it had nothing to do with promoting teen drug use. Infact, if you were there and heard all the kids running around asking for E and there just wasn't any around. A lot of people were fucked up, but it was definatly BYOE. The other thing is that Santa Cruz is filled with a bunch of kids that Love to party, but have no where to go... So we want to make everyone feel invited. Not to mention, the majority of student IDs that we looked at were College ones.
This was our group's first party, and we are glad that it went so well! We are throwing another one in June, and would really like to bring you all together for more than just partys. In Santa Cruz there are Midnight Movies at the local theater, and we want to get a big good group together and go! And also trips to the Boardwalk over the summer! We want to really make a community, not just a "scene." Does anyone like the movie "A Neverending Story"? That one is playing for the midnight soon. Let us know! www.myspace.com/tri_atom |

hehe. i love reptar.. and to quote the person below.. you got bonfires.. plenty plenty and plenty of bonfires.. regardless someone new at tehm get pregnant every night. you still got em. so ppl do have places to go.
the fact of bringing in students into the scene, be careful. underage drug use at parties is not well liked by police. none the less, sounds like it was a good party. props to your crew. btw. you should name your 2nd party Go Deeper. and the 3rd, Go All The Way. :] haha. my minds in the gutter too. lmao. Haha, let's face it, basically all our minds are in the gutter. Yeah, Bonfires are basically one big drama bitch. Every one i've been to has gone like this:
Everyone's happpy. They get shitfaced. People start fighting. One person Cries. A friend of a friend wanders off for 20 minuets and everyone freaks out. More people cry. The person missing comes back, having merely stopped at the 7-11 down the road. Everyone celebrates by getting drunker, then it repeats. Yeah, we are hoping to have Go Deep be an annual party, so maybe next year instead of "Go Deep 2" it will be "Go DEEPER!" thats a good idea! ![]() |
