Re: free clinics in sf
planned parenthood is effin' fantastic. tell your friend to grab an appointment asap, they're usually really busy. fill out the forms, check the box saying you don't have insurance and that you can't tell your parents about bc/ec, get a teal card blah blah blah....
they'll give you free everything. birth control, condoms, plan b. they will ask you if you want to take a std test/have a pap smear but that's your personal choice. you can tell them no if you want even though it would be a good idea just to have a clean bill of health.
i know it's easy to think "she was stupid blah blah blah" and in some cases it is just a stupid decision of not taking birth control/having sex without a condom. but it's just downright retarded that a lot of girls don't know this information because of "abstinence only" sex education or sex education that's not comprehensive.
i had to buy ec once. my friend was too embarrassed to do it herself. but she wasn't getting it cuz she was stupid. while having sex with her boyfriend (who she dated for over a year before having sex) the condom had broken and she wasn't on birth control. maybe she should have gotten bc first, but does she sound like a stupid irresponsible kid to you? before this thread, did you know where to pick up free bc/ec?
know your facts before you judge.
