hey guys I have a friend whos wondering if theres anyplace to get plan b for free in the city?
I guess she tried tried googling it but couldnt really find what she wanted? I donno she asked me to ask around though.

just go to a pharmacy and pay the 40 bucks.

She could find a Planned Parenthood. If she hasnt alreayd, sign up and get a teal card. Put on the forms that she does NOT have insurance (most the planned parenthood know we all do, but they dont care). She ahs to ahve an initial reason for going in like get a pregnancy test or something else, and they usually ask you if you need condoms or Plan B before you leave.

Its way more of a hassle to do it through PP, but you save $40.

a)planned parenthood will give you four free E.C.s a year if you have your teal card
b)her friend isn't automatically a dumbass for needing E.C., sometimes things happen that we can't anticipate/ have no control over. Don't judge if you don't know the details.

qft. thats why its called emergency contriceptive because its made for emergencys and last time i checked you arent a dumbass for being in an emergency.

Well when I went to PP, I was told that was true at least in PP clinics. But whatever, at least be prepared to get carded, just in case.

at least at my PP they wont give it to men.
My understanding is if you have your teal card they won't card you to get it at longs, and otherwise it just depends on if the person selling it to you wants to be a bitch.

Yeah, Plan B costs like 40 bucks, and you DO need ID. It was kind of embarrassing when I had to get it. The people at Walgreens were like 'tsk tsk... someone's busted!'

I have gotten it at a pharmacy with a planned parenthood teal card without ID.

You don't have to be 18 to get it at planned parenthood, or at Longs with your teal card.

you DO need to be a woman in both of those scenarios.


and once again, not a dumbass. Don't judge. if people were more open and accepting of educating teens about how to properly use birth control people would find themselves in this situation less often. Being in this situation is hard enough without being judged by strangers on the internet.
