But the happy hardcore remix of mamma mia at Hard Candy 3 (my first Evolution Entertainment event ) was one first times i danced hard (not rolling, plenty blazed and just loving it) It was around then that i knew deep down, raving is not a fad. |

Technically the first song I ever heard was being spun by someone in the HHC room of Slumber Fusion. However, I can't remember for the life of me what it was.
Now as far as the first song that I still love to this day, well that would be Dyloot's mix of Music is for Rich People by Soliquid. I heard it at my second rave; Liquid. It has not left my top rated playlist since I got the song back in feb, and won't leave for a very long time. Everytime I hear this song I lapse back into just happy and pleasant feelings while seeing images from every rave I've been to roll through my head like a flash back. Quote:
Can't handle it? On E? That's nothing, I've never not been able to "handle" something on E. However 1/8th and a half of shrooms and watching "The Haunting" by yourself in your house at 3am and trying to NOT have a bad trip is something else. (God Damnit Satan, get out of my arm chair!) However I think anyone could handle listening to some IDM on E. Good choice though. -TC Last edited by razor7; 9.5.2008 at 11:18 am. Reason: automerged doublepost |

"I'm gonna journey to outer space... to find another race" My friend had it and rocked it out at house parties and when I heard it at my 1st rave I went bannas!!! ![]() ![]() PS if anyone has that song. Please can they email it to me |

First time I rolled I was being driven around my by friend and we were listening to Chicane's Behind the Sun album. I peaked on the song "Saltwater".

DJ Dan... he's my boy... he got me into everything I love now... and its crazy to think that if I didnt hear him and fall in love with his music, I would have never have gone to raves in so cal, never would have introduced a few of my friends in the scene to each other, never would have met my ex, never would have continued to be best friends with another friend who got into the scene shortly after me, never would have stayed in california for so long, never would have experienced nearly as much life as I have, never would have found my own identity and strength the way I did... everything....
I once heard that a change in a butterfly's pattern of flying could dramatically change the other side of the world, its hard to believe but think about the little details that influenced large events to later happen... rant. done. |

I'm straight obsessed with aphex twin. Most of my good writing/screenplays are based off his songs. You can read almost any of my short stories and I can tell you which aphex twin song/album I was listening to at the time haha. |

uh i don't remember any of the songs i heard the first time i was rolling. i did listen to the new genghis tron album while thizzin once. the song "I won't come back alive" is epic. "Board up the house" is also a pretty good one. some other good albums to listen to while on e are Abandon's "In Reality We Suffer" and Meshuggah's "Catch 33." you have to listen to the albums from start to finish though. no track skipping and no shuffling. if you listen to the tracks out of order or listen to one song at a time, it won't have the same impact, and it'll lose its significance.
