Everybody, i wanna hear about your first song that was played to you while rolling. Hopefully, it was a well thought out moment that changed your view on music, if not life itself. Some of my favorite times were showing people a new expierence with either new styles of music when they first rolled, or better yet, when i played them a song that they had already loved, and now they got to listen to it in a new way. So let's hear them. I'll be checking these songs out and hopefully ill be able to come out with some bomb tracks.

a noobie! Teh noobie only has 1 post MUST BE NARC! JK JK JKSeriously guys I'm just kidding. I honestly have no idea what song was played for me on my first roll, it was just some random EDM. However, it did change my view of music. Slowly from that point on EDM has become easier to listen to on a regular basis. I prefer trance because it's easier just to relax to. Recently Ian introduced me to trancecore and that shit is awesome. |

Trancecore is fucking amazing. Too bad it's dead. First hardcore song I ever really remember truly falling in love with was Vinylgroover - Time which I recently got on Vinyl. Triple J - Eternity is a close second. They're on the same CD, Anabolic Frolic's - Happy 2b Hardcore Chapter 2. ![]() |

No song i heard the 1st time i rolled really changed my view on music or life, HOWEVER this did:
My first rave, Lovefest 2007, sober. Decided to go an hour before, pretty much alone, not knowing what to expect except glowsticks, electronic dance music, drugs, and sexy people. for 8 hours I danced my ass off, met random people, and just observed. then, for all of ferry corsten's set i danced at the very front and as he closed and came to the front to dance, and then he gave me a high five. ![]() |

my first rave was hard attack, something that no other rave has come quite to living up to it. although i don't remember too many songs from that night, it totally gave me a love for EDM.
i do specifically remember some hardcore song like "listen to your heart" which everyone flipped a bitch about. i just didn't like it cuz i can NOT stand chipmunk voices. since then, it's really only songs that i've heard before a rave i can get pumped about. when i know the song, then i can REALLY dance to it. |

If I listened to some Mac Dre the first time, I doubt I'd fall in love with EDM. Reason being that I'd fall into the hyphy scene with friend at home instead of the raver scene with a bunch of strangers.

So check this. The first time I rolled I was with just a few kids I didn't really know...
and I introduced them to Aphex Twin. We listened to the come to daddy ep, richard d james album and 26 mixes for cash while watching the wmp visualizers and giving each other foot massages. Then we fell asleep cuddling each other....hahaha E tarded! The second time I did it....it was THIZZZ fucking watched a E-40 music video (this was a few years back) and i'm like IT ALL MAKES SENSE!!!And that was the ONE NIGHT of my life I ever enjoyed hyphy music. People always think I'm crazy when I tell them I just listened to hella aphex twin on E......like you couldn't "handle it" or anything. I listened to Aphex Twin when i was on SHROOMS and fucking just laughed my ass off haha. |
