Finals time rant thread.

God damn, so much homework, studying, and testing to do. Its grinding on my NERVES. Aside from that there is personal life drama and all sorts of other bullshit.

But damn i just needed to take a second and say GOD DAMN FINALS RAWRR.

But at least it will be over in a couple weeks and next semester im taking more classes toward my major!


So who else is feeling me with this finals time anguish?

Look at it like this...

a large percentage of the worlds million and billionaires never went to college. As a matter of fact, the founder of Ebay gave the graduation speach to Harvard a few years back and said..."You've all wasted your money"

People that go to college earn more but start their careers with a 5 or 6 figure debt...over time, with debt and interest included, many will not make much more than a person who only went to high school.

I dropped out of high school, got my GED, and now am the assistant director of a prominent vocational school with the next step being to own the institution itself. I've never had to take finals...

Unless....gasp...you actually just want to learn! In which case I support you 110%.

I'm still in high school... I don't study EVER and ace tests. *shrug*
But I don't plan to go to college until I've already started a job and have enough money to pay for it. I just don't see the point of getting in debt to learn stuff I won't need (I'm going to be a body modifer =3)

Good luck with your finals, sounds like you're trying hard. I'm sure you'll do fine.

Lol i DO want to learn, knowledge is cool, I love philosophy, just this semester im finishing off BS classes. Next semester im starting up classes toward my major.. Audio Engineering!

Yup. I want to do Tattoo artistry for moneys, but I'd also get into fields of piercing and such. Scarification WOULD be cool to learn, since when done correctly (especially on dark skin) the end effect looks friggin awesome.

Ah, yes, good old procrastination. XD The bane of my existance!

I sometimes question whether or not I should even be going to college. All the young and successful people I know now jumped straight on their careers out of high school. It pisses me off that I'm required to take a bunch of classes that aren't remotely related to my major or any career field I might take, such as all these BS math courses that I'll never use again in my life. Sure, learning is cool, but it feels like I'm paying people so I can work for something that may not even be ultimately better. All the pressure put on kids today to get into college sucks, especially if the career options they are looking at have little to no support in the college major system.

Meh, I should just jump into a massage therapy school or get with a graphic design firm and say adios to all this psych degree stuff.

good thing my classes are straight scale graded this semester
my school should force more people to take math/science so humanity majors can inflate the grades

I felt the same way, I finished my associates degree right after high school in graphic design/animation back in 02', I TOO had to take dumb ass history classes, and gen. ed. shit.....
