Allright...so about 3 weeks ago this started to happen to me -- i cant describe it very well, but i will try. I personally havent do E alot, but when i do, i usually go all out. Ill say ive done it maybe 10 times, maybe more, but def less than 15. Im well aware of psychological and physiological dangers of ecstasy, but ive never heard of this side effect.....
Firstly, whenever i look at the extreme peripherals of my eyes, i feel a wooshing and rushing sound in my ears, as well as a feeling as if im trying to open my eyes while theyre close; but they are not closed. Its quite disorienting feeling. Sometimes it makes me dizzy and makes me feel like i have a cigaretted light-headed buzz type thing goin on. Now the more extreme part is when i try to sleep. As im drifting into sleep i feel like a lucid dream or something -- suddenly all of my body contracts and im sitting there helplessly while fluttering my eyes ( as described before, above ) and trying hard to make it go away. It feels like im trying to wake up from a dream. And at one point, i thought these were lucid dreams, because at one point, i was extremely scared and i heard loud banging on my bedroom door as well as saw many mnany lights in my room, i tried to scream but couldnt and then eventually it stopped, my body unclenched itself and i lay there in sweat scared out of my mind. Ive been having trouble sleeping lately -- im almost scared to try and sleep, for fear that it will happen again, and it always does. I feels like im dying. has anybody experienced anything close to this in any way? Plz, let me know. If this persists i will go to a doctor and get it checked out. No more rolling until EDC. Sin |

I've had it a few times. Scary fucking shit. You hallucinate when it happens, s that explains your hallucinations. Your body is still paralyzed, so you can't move, breath on your own accord, scream, anything like that. I've had it happen where I've woken up with my face in a pillow, sleep paralyzed. Almost suffocated. Horrible. It's only happened to me twice. Apparently it's a natural occurrence. When your body enters REM, it disables movement of your body to prevent your dream movements translating into real-life movements. Sleep paralysis is when you wake up abruptly from REM sleep, and it hasn't worn off yet. Hallucinations often accompany sleep paralysis, though not always. Hope I cleared a little up for you. |

Firstly, whenever i look at the extreme peripherals of my eyes, i feel a wooshing and rushing sound in my ears" Mk..well im no doctor. However, the first sentence in your second paragraph (the one I quoted above), sounds familiar. Dizziness is caused when our equillibrium is off balance. Our equillibrium is controlled by the semicircular canals in the inner ear. Eh..I'll stop there for now and see what others have to add. I'm no E expert. ~New~ |

yeah it happens to me all the time! usually like 2 days after i finish rollin... when i drink water really fast i can feel my brain pulsing as i swallow the water, thats when i know that its gonna happen when i go to sleep that night and the next 1 or 2 more nights. i dunno... i gotten soo used to it that last night as it was happening to me while i'm drifting asleep, my "girlfriend" said i was giggling.
so yah once you get used to it and know what it is its not all that bad actually haha.its more of your brain shutting down your body so you won't be doing kung-fu while you're asleep but since you were rollin and coming down, everything gets confused. |

You should REALLY think about preloading.
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] At the VERY LEAST you should follow the vitamin C rules. I've NEVER had any of those, and I'm 100% normal (thinking, sight, movements, distances, everything) by 12 noon sunday (when I roll about midnight sunday morning). When you roll you are depriving your body of essential things, like seratonin, that are crucial for every day life. By preloading you are blocking out part of the harmfulness of the drug. Read up a bunch about the oxidised dopamine. There is another thread called "what to eat before you roll." In there I listed off the schedule I have for when I roll. It's never let me down, and like I said, even on somewhat speedy pills I'm completely normal by sunday at noon. Oh, and Vitamin C will make your come down silky smooth too. -TC |

For like the past 6 years I've had this thing where I'll be going to sleep or near waking up. I can feel my entire body and am completely aware of myself, however I can't move easily. Moving takes every ounce of effort and if I'm in a weird position at all or have a blanket on top of me in just the right way it hinders my movement. I'll be able to hear just about everything going on around me, and sometimes my eyes will even flutter like yours and I can see whatever's in front of my face. Sometimes it freaks me out because it' so hard to snap out of it and wake up. Usually by the time I wake myself up I used so much effort I drift back into this state. At some point I just got used to it, and now I don't freak out as much when it happens. Sometimes I'll just lay there, but sometimes it's really fucking uncomfortable. I find that as time goes on this happens to me more and more often. It's really fucking gay.

none of this is directly from taking MDMA.
possibly other drugs. but not from MDMA. Eat healthy, get natural exercise, set a standard sleeping pattern, go outside, etc.....and all should be fine unless you just get sleep paralysis a lot. |
