Hehe. Whatever the music does to you. I've never attempted to really learn any "moves." However there are styles of dancing like hardstyle, jumpstyle, breakdancing, liquid, glowsticking, etc.

Just go, have fun, see what the music does to you and don't give a crap what anyone else thinks.

i could direct you to many youtube videos showing the different styles....but the best thing to do is just watch and learn.

i dont even know what my style is...probably a mash-up of hrdstyle, house, and shuffle step.

Dancing is all about how the music makes you wanna move.

I'll guarantee that there won't be anybody doing the soldier boy or any of that shit.

R4ph an I do what I call "bounce step" which is close to jump style, but with no planned moves. Just bouncing, moving to how the music makes us feel.

After that I do a small amount of liquid, and just kinda go around in my own patters. Lights are fun to dance with, especially if you have something added in your blood stream.

Go, have fun, dance it up, and be happy.

Honestly, I know I'm most likely going to get a lot of criticism for saying this, but just roll, then you'll understand. It will become a lot simpler, and you won't feel as self-conscious when you're first starting out.

Look at what other people are doing, but also just feel the music and go along with it. You also won't burn out after you're there for a few hours if you roll, which is soooo easy to do sober, even if you've been raving for quite a long time.

I'd also recommend grabbing a pair of glowsticks and put them between your fingers. It'll make observing your own dance moves a lot easier, and you'll be able to tell when you're smooth, jerky or awkward.

One more thing, don't be afraid to ask people, but just do it respectfully. If you see someone grooving really nicely, wait until they're taking a breather and approach them. Explain you were really impressed by their moves, and that you're new and was wondering if they could give you a few tips or teach you some moves.

99% of ravers will be absolutely ECSTATIC when you compliment them on their moves, and more than happy to help you.

Good luck, and have fun tonight!
