What it comes down to is respecting differences and taking a step back to realize that even though we all have our personal preferences and opinions and it's cool to debate and back them up.....we must at the same time respect that fact every one doesn't have to think the same.

I think alot of dj's in the scene are subject to certain sterotypes that they feel they must maintain to uphold some sort of image. Ie dnb heads hate trance, househeads hate dnb, trance heads hate house, the list goes on. We all have certain preferences and thats fine but to totally focus on hating out a certain kind of music is really lame. Personally I dont really care for hardcore or happy hardcore but thats just me. I also used to play dnb back in the mid nineties and I was what some may consider a junglist snob where DNB ruled everything and anything else was just wack. Now I play progressive house and trance after having played Uk Garage and Speed Garage. This is a big departure from DnB. Did I plan to end up playing this genre of music NO. I never though I would end up being a house and trance dj. To totally hate out a specific genre of music only leaves you with less options. Electronic music is based on an evolution of the mind and for it to grow and evolve people must be open to new experiences and sounds without that I guess its all just "noise".
