i can't see them letting in nalgenes, even empty ones.

they'd lose $$ on water sales. and these ain't no $2 water sales. i'd say bite the bullet, split a $5 bottle among some friends and just keep filling it up.

i effin' hate wearing backpacks or carrying a lot of shit into raves. if i don't have pockets i usually wear my tall boots and stick stuff in there. for pop i've already narrowed my necessities down to a cigarette case, my cell (this is where razrs really are useful), and my spare car key cuz it's the flattest. everything else including my real keys are getting locked in my trunk.

FANCY!

i was thinking tap water from the bathroom sink. i'd still suggest a bottle, though, cuz those lines get hella long and it would suck to keep going back to wait.

Sooo i've been to two parties at Cow Palace Planet New Year '04 ant cyberfest '05 or '04, and i can't begin to tell you how much better it is for a rave than Bill Grahm.
Anyway as far as bags go they dont like them. The more stuff that comes in to the party the more problems that will arise. On the skills site at the bottom of event info it says: "YES! you will pack light for a fun night!" (hint hint ;p ) if you want to bring anything in keep it small and it better be sealed just as you bought it or be prepared to chuk it at the door. Cigarettes, candy, gum, etc. No water though. oh yeah one more thing... There WILL be cops there. and i mean actual SFPD in uniform. They're not there to cause problems, just to keep everything safe. Make their life easy and everyone will be happy, ie be smart. hope to meet some of you guys there. I may not say much but i've been reading for a while.

i will probably let every single cop and security guard know that i appreciate the work they do.

seriously. every raver should do that. not only is it true, but it will make them look at our scene much better and they will respect us more as well.

does that mean they'll make me throw out the cigarettes in my case even if it's clear they haven't been tampered with? and when i say that, i mean they open my case and can see that nothing has been removed and they still smell like tobacco?

i would LOVE for security to take away every single pack presented at the door.

it would show people how fuckin addicted they are when they can't function properly without smoking within an 8 hour stretch.

the place would be cleaner, smell better, and more people would be dancing.

hell, i'd do that for my event except people would hate me and never return.

personally, it's not an addiction for me. i tried smoking today and thought "how was i going through a pack a week last summer?" i let most of it burn and just enjoyed the nostalgia.

i mostly wanted them as a gift to other ravers/a social thing/enhancement.

oh, and the smokers would definitely boycott you like it was 1955 and you were the montgomery bus line. oh addiction! such a cruel mistress.

Klover not everyone is addicted to smoking just because they smoke.
Anyway, there is a designated smoking area outside, so Im assuming they are going to allow UP-OPENED cases, ya know?

I agree with Chicago. I rarely ever smoke outside of raves, but I like to bring a pack to parties to have to give to people and as a social thing...

everyone has their vices.

lol yea i only really smoke at rave because it enhances my roll a bit, and socially. i never really go outside and just smoke by myself, i'd feel waaaay retarded.

if no one else lights up, i probably won't either
