everywhere i went i got harassed by the undercovers.
it was more than 10 times throughout the night. i even got followed from the back of the crowd to the very front during paul oakenfold's set. the best part? i was sober. you know how there's RACIAL profiling? i definitely got RAVER profiled. just because i'm covered in kandi and wearing 7 inch sparkly platform boots does not mean i'm slangin'. especially since my eyes were clearly intact and i was not looking e-ed out or anything. it was pretty freaking clear that i wasn't selling anyone anything or fucked up myself, considering that i would turn around and see them watching me. i knew they were undercovers because they had ear buds and that kind of stuff and asked me if i had "mdma" or even better "thizz or ecstasy". "Hello, you look like someone who might have some mdma. I am looking to buy some. Will you sell some to me?" "Hi, do you have any thizz or ecstasy?" it seriously made my night suck. it was complete harassment. i was about to start running around with my eyes rolling back into my head and waving my arms around like a total etard to get their attention and then tell them to leave me the hell alone. and i was so excited and tried to have a good time but it wasn't too much fun =( |

I got asked 20-30 times over the course of the night, but I don't know how many of those were undercovers. I WAS Rolling though, and wearing a shirt that said "MDMA" so I was kind of asking for it.

Yeah, just be polite, say no, and let them do their job. They make you safer, and their presence allows for these events to happen.

I got stared at at some point by a shorter stocky guy that wasn't dancing and was wearing a lanyard badge after my friend tried to give him a star sticker (lol), but he didn't say anything and eventually disappeared.

Tons of EMT, I'm glad they were there. Undercovers weren't so much of a problem for me... I had one guy who was a little weird, but I wasn't rolling or selling anyways so I didn't really think about it.
I agree with wavelength though. Most people give the security and police shit, but you know what? I respect those guys. They do the job noone else wants to do, and all most of them are really out there to do is just keep us safe. Has anyone met arnie? He's a security guard, but he's probably one of the coolest guys out there. Lots of them are like that, they're just looking out for us. Not to mention, I don't mind being searched getting in. If you really need to bring drugs in, they aren't hard to hide, and a lot of the time they're just looking for weapons anyways, which is fine by me. I don't want to be shot or stabbed because I looked at some thug's 'woman' the wrong way. In my opinion, I'm ALWAYS nice to the security guards, unless they're being total douches themselves. They're only doing their jobs, and besides, the 'R' in PLUR means respect. You can't pick and choose when you want to be PLUR; you're either PLUR, or you're not. |
