so last night i popped my tire on my car right and took it in today only for them to tell me that all my wheel ball bearings or something and alignment is FUCKED and my breaks and that its like 3000$ worth of damage so im truely fucked for a ride to 1up since I cant drive. Is there any RAVELINKER THAT COULD HELP AN ORANGE COUNTY GIRL OUT and give me a ride to 1up. I will love you forever, and yes, im so down to throw in on gas!!!!

hang on a second here! what kind of car do you drive cuz i know that wheel bearings do not all go out at the same time. shit they hardly ever go out. let me know for i can give you some info for you dont get screwed over. cuz thats what it sounds like they are trying to do to you. an alignment should be no more than $100. tire should only cost like $150. and the brakes should only cost like $200 if they turn the rotors and put new pads. i think they are trying to scam you seriously. but let me know what kind of car it is and hopefully you havent told them to fix it yet.

I agree 100 % I got my alignment done for $65 and that was more than they quoted me b cause I have 4 wheel alignment on my car.. brakes - 200 seems steep for that too.. and again like gweezy said, bearings almost NEVER need to be replaced.. maybe re-packed but that is rare

I was kinda going off of my work prices. I work at a Toyota dealer in the service department.

Brake Service - $199.95 (new pads which last 100k miles, and resurfacing the rotors)

Alignment - $74.50 (4 wheel alignment)

Toyota dealers are usually a lil more expensive than most other mfg.

i dont know exactly whats wrong with it because my mom had to take it in while I was at work so Im still waiting to hear exactly the problems it has but they quoted some ridiculous price and im not going to get it fixed at that place. for sures not. i just wish i knew more about a car's engine god damnnit. haha

I just got an oil change, synthetic oil, new windshield wipers and Raul did that for me. I just need new brake pads put on and all that shiz... so we're in the same boat. All the stuff cost $100!!! I still havent gotten the brake pads or any of that done but probably monday or something. Its true, $3000. is a rip off so be careful.. the best thing to do is get the parts and have someone you know fix it. auto shops can be such a scam.

omfg im so glad im a guy and have a friend with a shop brakes cost me like 20$ to do myself oil changes cost me 30$ thats 5 qts of mobile 1 full synthetic and filter....

but then again my tire on my old WRX went out once and a hit the curb bent both my conrol arm and shot the shock the parts alone were 1400$ special order from subaru so you never know what could be wrong
