Question about your regional scene

How close of a community are the ravers in your region?

Do you guys always run into some of the same people? are there huge meet-ups?

Or do you even hang out with ravers you meet at events later on throughout the week?

Just curious if for you guys it is just a weekend party or a larger community brought together BY the weekend parties...and friendships furthered afterwards.

pretty much there is no rave community in las vegas whatsoever bc its freakin illegal here, which with all the other retarded shit you can do here and thats illegal? i dont get it but whatever, so the only real raves i go to here is when i get the chance to go to LA and thats about it

i agree. there used to b a scene years ago but it dropped out cause it turned all illegal here. nowadays we all just go to LA massives.

To be honest, they're correct. The scene here is very limited. Not that there's a demand but more a lack of leadership. Only one crew, New Galaxy Entertainment has provided a weekly rave event at the only legal venue we have. There are a few of us, *cough, cough* that are trying to step up. Lots of political unrest here in town. I don't wanna go into detail here. But it's truly part of the reason why we don't have a strong scene.

yea actually i have a friend here who visits his gf all the time in the san bernadino a lot, and he just told me about the electric daisy event and i might hit that up but on the same day in dallas, tx (my hometown) ASYS (acid saves your soul) is putting on this show at this place i used to love going to and i was planning on hittin that up if i could get out there that weekend, but if not then ima try to go to the electric daisy thing

yeah...EDC(Electric Daisy Carnival) is a huge festival with a rave massive afterwards. Pretty crazy stuff....would be a huge dose of the LA massive scene with a day of culture and good fun.

Well, dfonz. Since you've listed Hip-Hop as your music of choice, you'll find plenty of options here. As for the more underground "rave" type stuff, you'll just have to keep poking around until you find yourself something.

I used to Greyhound vacation it here from San Diego before I made it my home. So, it's possible.

For trance grooves, there really only one place on the weekends that make it happen as far as clubs are concerned. That's Empire Ballroom. They have a trance heavy Thursday night and on Mondays you can check out the Lava Lounge @ Planet Hollywood. Other than that, it's house for the win here in Vegas.
