I all say use some common sense when it comes to things online or in person. You probably wouldn't approach a random person at walmart at 2 am to get a ride home from them, so don't approach someone you don't know online for a ride that no one else knows. Now if someone like HoneyJade or anyone else with lots of posts and friends offered me a ride I'd probably accept because I may not know her but lots do and can trust her. You wouldn't (or at least shouldn't) approach random people about drugs, so don't do it on here. If someone seems sketch, don't talk back to them. It's that simple.
Use common sense and good judgement. |

Thats true, cops are everywhere. If your not doing anything wrong you dont have a reason to worry. Trust your instincts about strange people on here, if you feel sketched, then dont bother. |

I don't really care if they are or not. The Patriot Act can control whatever it wants with information, so if they want something like info about you believe me they will get it. That is why I laugh when I see people say "SWIM" it makes no sense to me, and is very juvenile. Like most of you said they have bigger fish to fry then worrying about if you pop a pill or two. My cousin is a cop, and believe me unless you did do something majorly wrong you got nothing to worry about. Look cops are not dumb and probably can figure out who does do drugs. But unless you are Tony Montana or Pablo Escobar, they probably couldn't give a flying fuck. You, yourself just needs to be responsible if you do pop one, test it, get a test kit or just be sober.
Alcohol is the worst drug...but pills can be equally dangerous because you never know what is mixed into them. Educate yourself on both and get a designated driver. God forbid we read about anyone on this board that was "in an ambulance, or on his death bed." Sometimes people do learn the hard way, and most of the time it might have been your story that could save them or educate them. I think most people on this board have some sort of knowledge of what I am trying to get at, and I think the cops should be the least of your worries. Spread some PLUR and educate the newbies. That is all you can do. I think a cop would appreciate that. I think on this board everyone seems level-headed and tries to steer people in the right direction, so I don't believe there is anything to worry about or hide. Out, Muggz. ![]() |

Maybe its just because Im feeling uber emotional today, but I seriously almost cried at the sheer thought of hearing of anyone from this board having some kind of Rave related accident.
Think of it this way: How many people have you NOT told about your raving because you dont want them to judge you based on the negative sterotypes our scene has? Cops are looking for the people who give our scene a bad name. Im not doing anything shady or wrong, so they dont bother me. Cops being on here (or anywhere for that matter) means thats one less drug related gang fight at a party, or one less idiot who might overdose or whatever. Them patrolling these sites means that someone (or a group of people) could possibly be saved from their own stupidity. |

a couple people i work with (at my day job) know about my dj'ing and i never hear the end of it... it gets old. anyways, like it was said before... if you're not doing anything illegal, then you don't have anything to hide/worry about. parties/raves back in the day themselves were illegal; no permits, no police support, there wasn't trained staff/EMS on scene, etc... hence why law enforcement was so gung-ho about breaking the events up. now-a-days, things are a bit more on the up-and-up... its more of a concert with a rave-like atmosphere. people have a false sense of security when on line. people tend to think that just because they are chatting with someone/anyone from the safety of their home via a computer, it can do them no harm and they are wrong, dead wrong. think about the show "date line to catch a predator"... those perverts are chatting with cops and they're thinkin they're chatting with some chick, then they get busted for trying to have sex with a child. same thing here, except we replace the perverts with a couple kids wishing to purchase illegal drugs and you still get busted by the cops. a crime never really took place, but the intent was there and that’s just as illegal. never put anything in writing that you're not willing to say in person or have a permanent record of. |

Downright HILARIOUS ![]() Anyway I brought this topic up to see your opinions. I know a cop will read this cuz the thread is directed towards them. but like Honeyjade said, Im glad they are here because they are the ones that keep the dangerous fights and bad instances outta my way at parties so I can continue to have a fun evening. I just hope they are dedicating their time towards important things like that. Cops really are cool guys, I had the chance to talk to one at edc and his perspective on how they were going to handle the night made such perfect sense. I wish they were all like that. |

See, THIS is yet another reason why I'm glad I stopped messing with substances for the most part... not to mention the people who dealt them.
Can't help the knowledge I've acquired, though. :P |
