Yeah, its a Rave forum but considering Tour Kids and Rave Kids often hit up the same shows I figured I'd ask here.
So wheres it at? Me and my fiance are getting married at the end of October and plan on spending our honeymoon road tripping in Colorado. No plans really, we'll probably bring our tent, we may or may not stay in hotels a few nights, not sure, not worried about it. But what I AM worried about is where we're going to hang out! So what I'm lookin for is a good spot with a happening hippie scene. None of the big Colorado venues have anything we want to check out the week we are there so we are looking to the local music scene to keep up entertained. Jazz, Bluegrass, Jam grass, Psych rock, Funk, whatever. So the real question is, what city and where at in that city? Also, if you know of some good low key bars, and or small music venues by all means, please let me know! We're open to anything, we're just looking for a good time. Side note, if you've ever been to St.Louis and or are familiar with some of the bars here we're looking for places similar to The Venice Cafe, or Cicero's (Delmar) or an area like the Loop. Thanks!!! Ryan!!! ![]() <--- This should be us on our honeymoon |

i think i might be able to help you bluntly. The gambling town of cripple creek has a hippie community somewhere around it im not 100% sure where exactly but ive met people from there and they're the biggest hippies ive met in my lifetime.
1-2 times a year they have a rainbow gathering idk what exactly takes place but id say hippie music and lsd. GL to you and your fiance, have fun. ![]() |

Id have to agree with pax to the extent, that around the area of pikes peak, NOT including colorado springs [because of the # of puritans and ghettoesqe areas], would have to be the greatest concentration of hippie culture in CO, others come to mind like boulder and west of pueblo about 20-40 miles whatever cities that is but I wouldnt be able to verify that for sure...
