Building on the overwhelming success of his debut Sufi Soul EP, New Delhi-based producer/DJ Hamza issues another massive house music release - the Dusk Till Dawn EP. For this special collection of tracks Hamza enlists the legendary vocal talent of David Hykes, a pioneer of the overtone-based chant tradition with twelve albums to his credit. Hykes is also the founder of The Harmonic Choir, since 1975 considered the world's pre-eminent overtone vocal ensemble.

Overtone singing is a mysterious technique which allows the singer to produce more than one musical note at once. The origins of this style can be traced to ancient traditions in the Altai/Tuvan/Mongolian region and has been related to the expression of transcendent states of consciousness. Bringing this ancient technique to modern dancefloors, Hamza's experience as a DJ and an accomplished electronic dance music producer has combined smoothly with David Hykes' eastern-inspired vocal work for a duo of contemplative house masterworks. "Dusk" and "Dawn" sit side-by-side on this EP as the impressive results of this collaboration.

In "Dusk", a driving tech-house rhythm peels away to reveal David Hykes' exotic, drifting vocal line. Once Hamza's beats and music return Hykes' voice melds with the dance-scape, becoming a perfectly subtle layer within the depth of the song. Eclectic percussion and a determined low-end further assure the track's place on the DJ's playlist. A Tech-Dub of "Dusk" shifts focus to a sparser rhythm which gives more space for Hykes' vocal magic to cut through the mix.

Hamza's collaboration takes a different direction with the understated "Dawn". Led by a crisp broken beat pattern and a rolling bassline, Hykes' overtone singing becomes more of an atmospheric flourish amongst the steady build. Muted key stabs and a high-end synth melody appear within the track, adding some lightness to an otherwise ominous mood. The tune effortlessly breezes through its ten minutes, making "Dawn" a potential highlight in an evening's DJ set.

The Dusk Till Dawn EP is the second offering from Wind Horse Records, a label started by Hamza Rahimtula to bring attention to the innovative house music sounds coming out of India. With this release Wind Horse Records and Hamza are set to bring new and evocative sounds to nightclubs worldwide while introducing new listeners to the immeasurable vocal talent of David Hykes. It's a fantastic effort, sure to help secure Hamza's place as one of the more ambitious house music producers working today.

Up this month, Worthy returns with his final EP of the year.

The title track Eight Yay Eight is a full on bass heavy sound system destroyer, already responsible for blowing out the sound system at Rokbar at WMC this past year. Eight Yay Eight is not for the faint of heart. With a mix of big grimy 808 bass hits and swelling sounds that drop into a full on bassed out breakdown. Eight Yay Eight will push the limits of any sound system and dance floor.

On the flip side of the EP is Tondero, a bouncing housy track that is in high contrast to the first track. It follows a deep worthy bassline with housed out chords and congas moving you along. Until a large ship horn blows in the middle of the track and resets everything for the second half of the track. It's a full on funky track that does not disappoint or leave your ears bored at any point.

LOT49 RELEASE!! Lee Coombs: Detox & Remixes! OUT NOW!

LEE COOMBS: DETOX & REMIXES

Hot on the heels of his Light & Dark album which has been yet another highlight of a superb career, Florida-based Lee Coombs and Lot49 deliver the DETOX package featuring remixes from Meat Katie, Trent Cantrelle, Access Denied and Burufunk.

Detox, the second track on Light & Dark, is a no holds barred monster of a dancefloor cut and is a powerful example of tech-funk at its best. As you�d expect with Coombs, pounding kicks, visceral acid lines and unnerving vocal samples all vie for attention but it�s the huge, hip-hop drop in Detox which pushes it into the stratosphere.

As always with the Lot49 crew, there�?Ts been little scrimping on the remixes too. Mark Meat Katie Pember takes a break from an incessant DJ schedule and Lot49 A&Ring to deliver yet another standout remix in his catalogue of standout remixes! His interpretation evolves from a 1 note hat and snare loop into an �is it house, is it breaks?� tech-funker he�s renowned for. A tweaky, sliding b-line with a warped key shift does all the work while heavy snares, synth percussion and the original�s vox samples create a dense soundscape. Vintage stuff..

Trent Cantrelle is up next and shows exactly why he�s established himself through remixes for the likes of Subliminal, Little Mountain and Renaissance over the years. Filtered FM stabs, acid licks and beats and bass are all Cantrelle needs to push Detox further into anthem territory �?" and that�s exactly what he does.

Penultimately, Russian breakbeat upstarts Access Denied deliver one of the freshest examples of the genre this year with a snarling yet melody flecked rub with an emphasis on groove. Things are only just kicking off for these guys and if this is anything to go on, it�d be foolish not to keep an eye on them.

Last, but certainly not least, is Burufunk who take the breaks batton from Access Denied and run with it, injecting some saw-tooth funk into proceedings and squeezing every last drop out of the track with a nifty tempo-adjusted breakdown.

Venezuela born and florida resident Nelson Rodulfo is back with �Please makes it stop EP� fouty-fourth reference from CE Records.
�Please makes it stop� includes two cuts, original versi�n from Nelson plus a remix from another CE Records well known producer, Ricardo Garduno.
The original Mix is located between tech and progressive house. Shakers, percs, hats and a line of congas is the perfect recipe for the groove, while the bass line and a hypnotic synth gives the right depth to result in a very interesting tune.
In the other hand Ricardo Garduno goes techno, low the BPM and gives it another character, deep, tech, dark, freak, dirty .Simple and complex at a time , a fat and chunky bass line, synths and pans wrapped in a twisted track, perfect for all of those who enjoy the darkest side of music.
