The latest from composer/producer genius and virtuoso guitarist KALI is an amazing groundbreaking masterpiece of beautiful compositions for traditional instruments playing dance-floor styled jams. From beginning to end each carefully crafted journey builds and flows with florid guitars, thick basses, crystal clear drums and lots of rich sampling and analog synthesizers. What is remarkable is how the cinematic drama and pathos of harmony and counterpoint can fit so naturally within BPM conscious house and trance structures. The bright clarity and unabashed joyousness of "Gelatin Coated" and "Dose 1 or 2 pills" express a wonderful feel good vibe while "No. 284" and "100" get downright tribal with wild percussion and buzzing Moog basses. The first single "Pills" features a delicious sexual interplay between an aggressive and decidedly male electric guitar, and a languid female voice, getting quite erotic as the two dance together. Kali’s latest offering is the product of his live electronica ensemble. Originally known as “Drink & Food” and now flaying under his own banner as KALI, this group of amazing musicians have made a passionate dedication to playing modern dance-floor styles as an ensemble. Their rare live sets of House, Trance, and Drum & Bass, mixed live, with plenty of old school real time DUB, leave audiences amazed and bewildered. Kali, “One day it occurred to me that there were things a DJ could do that were so much better than what a band does and yet the opposite was also true. I wanted to build an ensemble of players and machines which together could provide the hypnotic, powerful, and seamless transcendence of a really good DJ experience while also having the excitement and personality you get from a group of dynamic performers. Thus I embarked on my journey to create a really dramatically compelling dance ensemble which embraces modern styles.

Artist Profile

As a classically trained musician Kali learned to read music at the age of 8. He was playing in jazz combos doing be-bop and standards by the age of 13, professionally at 17. Kali studied jazz extensively with Rick Messina. Kali attended the Royal College of Music in London where he studied with Jakob Lindberg, and the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel Switzerland, where he studied with Hopkinson Smith and Eugen Dombois. Kali is an expert in Baroque music and has recorded the suites for lute in C minor and E major by J. S. Bach, and major pieces by Francisco Tarrega and Matteo Carcassi. Kali has given solo recitals in London, France, and Switzerland and has played live on the radio in California and France. Kali has recorded original music in many styles from dub to hip hop to electronica to progressive as well as his own unique creation "Swamp Sound System" a blend of blues dub and electronics with a cinematic americana flavor. Kali has recorded & played all over the United States with many groups including: Swamp Sound System, Drink & Food, Sharkbait, Mr. Lucky, Supertroll, Alter Ego, Funk Dub Division, and President’s Breakfast.





Bass Star Records formed in summer of 2007 and is focused primarily on breaks, dub step, electro house and down tekno grooves. Expect lots of wild unpredictable new cuts coming from this phatty side project from Geomagnetic Records Label Group.

Soon Hoffman began DJing and performing live in big parties and festivals from Tijuana to Playa del Carmen in Mexico for dancefloors up to 10,000 people. Hoffman has DJ'd and performed live with artists like Hallucinogen, Sphongle, Infected Mushroom, Astrix, CPU, GMS, Skazi, Dimitri Nakov, Pixel, Michele Adamson, Poli, Bushman, Bizarre Contact, Xerox & Illumination, Neuromotor among several others. Hoffman produces music using Logic Studio Pro & Cubase SX. In the year 2007 after visiting Spain he got invited to the legendary Growling Mad Scientists studio, where he collaborated in a killer track and joined SPUN crew. This track proved to be a super hit blasting dance floors and being played by almost every Psytrance Dj around the world in the year 2008. Hoffman will finally release his debut album this year for SPUN Records.

Hysteria is Oleg Taraskin, a Moscow based psytrance producer who is signed to the Ukranian Skygravity Records and to the Russian-Aussie giant Blitz Studios, so as D-A-R-K Records by now. Oleg is one of the favourites of the Russian psytrance scene and he is a regular guest at the renowned psy parties in Crimea. A close affiliate of Transdriver and Furious, Oleg started out in the late 90s on the wave of the newly developing Russian psychedelic electronic music. Today he is one of the undisputed leaders of the night time and twilight hour psytrance in the Slavic states. His regular gigs around Moscow, St-Petersburg and other Russian cities as well as gigs in Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania never fail to get the party people going. Oleg is a well sough-after psytrance artist who is frequently invited to play at some of the best parties in Eastern Europe and the rest of the globe.

Here is another producer you're going to hear a lot more of in the next 12 months. Already a prolific name on the Hard Dance scene under his Guyver alias, Guy Mearns flexes his slower, uplifting side with the vibrant cut 'Impulses'.

Meteorburn is a 2 member project, Sérgio aka Meteor & Xano aka Burn. In the year 2000 they went to a lot parties and they won a lot of contacts, which who taken a union of creativity to launch the project Meteorburn,so they started to make dark style in influences of : Ocelot, Electrypnose, Kasakta, Digital Talk, Irgum Burum, Parasense, Psychotic Micro, Ram , highko and others. Together they show to you a live set with many strong atmospheres, giving in that way a beautiful travel, with a sound really original. In Studio they have a Sony Vaio, an Asus, an Interface audio Terratec Phase 26, RME Multiface II, M-audio oxygen 8 and CME UF midi keyboard, Samson Resolv 80a and Alesis One Mk2 Active Monitors, TC PowerCore FireWire, Virus PowerCore, Clavia Nord Lead Rack 2x and Steinberg Cubase 5.
