As just about every person in the world is aware .. the free world has been having hostilities with Iran over its nuclear energy program.
News earlier today about Iranian missile tests werent a surprise, considering Israel does exercises showing off it's bombing ability, and we constantly play war games in the gulf with our warships.
Everybody's ready to fight.
I know that if things turn for the worse and somebody makes a move .. life will get pretty hectic for anybody in any worldy military.
The question isnt about winning a war with Iran, thier weapons tech, thier troop discipline, nor thier military infrastructure can withstand the might of NATO (the USA.) We already have them beat militarily.
I just dont want to go back there. It's way too hot and there's too much shit trying to kill you.
If we do go in, we should not occupy at all. We cannot afford it. We're broke by the occupation in Iraq. If conflict with Iran breaks out, we should go in, wipe out thier military and the military infrastructure, and leave. Thats it.
It's that simple.
We dont need to help them setup a government. Once thier military is decimated, the repressed population of college kids who have been protesting and getting beaten and killed all these years will rise up and the Islamic Republic can find its own way.
Enough with the fighting.
