i opened the alesis mmt8 up, the one that i was having issues with the buttons being sticky and not working properly
the circuit board on the left of the pic is where the contacts on the buttons press, the contacts on the circuit board were super dirty, so i used qtips and some rubbing alcohol to clean it up
after reassembling, all of the buttons were much more responsive, they work pretty much as they should, when i press PLAY now, it no longer stutters and hits PLAY 5 times in a row super fast, and when i press the STOP button, it actually stops instead of stopping and continuing over and over again very quickly, lol

funxion this friday?

so i'm thinking about funxion for this friday
on saturday we're going to a birthday party of a friend of my wife, so no going out then, if i do get to sneak out it probably won't be till after 2am-ish or so, blah, the birthday party should be chill though
my buddy j-dogg is in town, and i want to take him out to something before nocturnal wonderland, doesn't seem to be much underground or rave type action going on this friday, so we're considering this funxion place
when i look through the photos of funxion, it looks really "clubby" "hollywood" if that makes any sense, it makes me wonder if it's more of a chill spot for hipsters to kick back, doesn't look like any hardcore dancers go there or anything, i could be wrong though, my thoughts are based entirely on the pics on their site so who knows what's really going on, haha...
anyways, theeo is going to be there this friday, i dunno', there's some discount lists going around, might have to check the place out, hope it doesn't disappoint =)
