How Sweet was my first time rolling. =] (unfinished)

Posted 11.4.2008 at 2:50 pm by Jennifurr
"just start with half" you said to me as your fingers fished around your pant pockets. i smiled and nodded. whatever you say goes. since this was going to be my first time i didn't want to take any chances, and i trusted you. my eyes scanned your face in the semi-darkness. the lights outside of the auditorium were blinding and a bit overwhelming, and with this light and my previously achohol induced state of mind, i had no clear understanding of the current time. you looked up from the small plastic bag you had pulled from your pocket and i seized the opportunity to kiss you. soft and passionate. my head was all ready lost in the clouds.

my nerves were gone. all the scared anticipation i had been feeling for the last couple weeks about this night where gone. when you had first suggested trying it, i had been completely opposed. the horror stories i had heard about kids dieing from their first try terrified me. but your stories compelled me. you spoke of it, not highly, but as something i must experience. and so, with an open mind, i began to conduct my own research.

now i was standing beside you as you snapped the small pill in half.

"why don't we sit for a while." was suggested as our entire group created a pow wow in the center of a crowded walk way. i asked you how i should take it, you suggested to chew it if i wanted the effects quicker, and you warned of the bitterness. your smile was warm and enchanting. i held out my hand. i didn't bother looking at the piece of pill that rested in my palm. i simply dropped it in my mouth and began to chew. bitter and starchy. you smiled and laughed as a clawed at the nearest bottle of water. and after a few swigs, the taste was gone.

before the pill my night had been filled with Jagger and California bud. i simple night of being half aware and potentially dysfunctional. but with time all other effects had worn and the night seemed open once again. stations set up with shirts and clothes, and a giant blow up middle finger. everyone in the group slowly regained footing and began to migrate toward drum and bass.

fifteen minuets you had told me, for it to kick. as we moved through the crowd i let myself forget about the foreign substance i had just consumed and continued to move along with the sway of the crowd. to start the night i was all ready happy. my hand rested in yours as you weaved trough traffic and just stared admiring you. and every once and a while you would bless me with a smiling glance in my direction. make my heart skip a beat.

fifteen minutes had passed and i had yet to feel a thing. you dropped the other half in my hand and this time i swolled it.

then i began to feel it. like a wave crashing against the shore. the people around me who i had been ignoring before all became the center of my focus. as we weaved though the crowds. i couldn't help but stare wide eyed at my fellow concert goers. a warm sensation moved though my body sending a toothy grin across my face. your hands brushed my exposed skin on my tummy sending vibrations into my skin. your fingers tapped my hipbone to the beat of the music and i leaned back on your chest as i let the feelings consume me.

and when i opened my eyes again, everything had changed. there were no dull colors. everything screamed with a brilliant vibrancy and beauty. lights bounced of the walls around me and onto the ocean of bodies swaying to the bass. neon green. my eyes followed the path of the light, as it pulsated to the rhythm. and then i began to move. my body longed to feel the rhythm of the light. and the vibrations being sent from the speakers send breath taking chills though me. i was rolling.

your hands played the beat on my shoulders as i moved my body playfully to the beat. i could feel the warmth of your lips on the back of my neck. and the feeling stayed long after your kiss ended. i was happy, so alive. i was consumed by the music, the crowd and you. everything was beautiful. and as you guided me through the crowd, my fingers outstretched on to all that i passed. my eyes were open. like the moon at full wake. like filters absorbing everything i came in contact with.

good read. Writing is eloquent as far as ravelinkers go. Anyone that knows the sensation of rolling will get tingles or flashbacks from this.

whiteknight was so right. tingles and flashbacks...ahh. the first time i rolled was actually at my house with my roomate and her ex-boyfriend who randomly showed up at the house one day. he ended up joining the navy. anywho. he's a dj and mixes his own stuff. so thats what was playing all night and morning. we took the first pill at about 11:45pm and i was feeling it by 12:00. we took the second at 2:00am (but it only felt like it was minutes after). the speakers had some nice bass levels so the floor and walls vibrated from the sound. ill never forget my first time rolling. not necessarily going to get into details about the night but wow, what an experience. i loved reading about your first time.

    beautiful writing and imagery.

I just highly advise against mixing alcohol and pills.

It is one of the most common reasons behind an OD or death.
