haha i live in san ramon! and no, there are never any "rave" type parties around here. just drunken house parties or rich folk gatherings.
id say the closet you would get are renegades in berkeley/hayward/oakland/san fran and as for raves...berkeley, oakland, san francisco.
there is NOTHING around these parts, but its probably a good thing
