Hey folks, I decided to stop lurking and come out of the woodwork. So, here goes. I'm Jon, I'm 19... LA native, but I go to school in Pittsburgh. Some friends of mine there convinced me to go with them to a party there, and I enjoyed it enough to hit EDC now that I'm home for the summer. Had such a good time there that I want to get more into the scene.
Most of my friends in the area are from high school, and I love them to pieces... but the guys wouldn't be caught dead dancing (I was pretty much the same way in hs, too), and the girls were turned off by the idea of crowds... and were apparently even more turned off by the idea of friendly crowds and the possibility of random acts of kindness occurring? Beats me. But it leaves me pretty much on my own when I want to do something like this. I actually spent most of EDC by myself and that was awesome, but I figure it'd be nice to know a few people who I could look forward to running in to here and there, and you seem to have a pretty awesome community here, overall.
Anyway... I'm in college to get a degree in engineering... I play bass (hence the name)... I aspire to be a brewery owner/brewmaster... I have terrible insomnia, but I love to sleep... I constantly astound friends and strangers alike with the astounding amount I know about an astounding breadth of things... get to know me, I'm pretty sure that it's worth doing.
Sadly I no longer look like this... but it's still pretty much the way I see myself in my own head, so it stays.
And this is me about 3 days ago.
