I know what you're saying, but I find that it's a tiny bit different. You're laughing at the kid because what's happening is funny and whatnot, but with this picture you get people deliberately insulting her and saying very rude things about her as a person... not just laughing. See the difference? And yes, I take very rude/mean insults towards my friends very personally, as all true friends should.
It's fine if you want to look at the picture, chuckle and maybe say a few words that aren't completely disrespectful... but it's the people that go above and beyond that, that are just complete jerks. There is a line, and unfortunately some people cross it, and that's what makes me unhappy about it.
