who knows if they're really 'stealing headliners' or not...

but the point is that THERE ARE SO MANY FUCKING DJs OUT THERE yet why do the same default mainstream names get booked over & over? If the excuse is to 'draw a crowd' then doesnt that somewhat fit into the money hungry attitude we try to avoid? Try taking some fucking risks once in a while with NEW names that will blow people's faces off!!

And while I do agree with Tofu that alot of DJs try to 'change their style' to fit the mood (playing slow & chill at a club, yet hammer it out in a stadium) or just dislike the USA in general......
....There are ALSO those headliners overseas who are just DYING to play in the USA and put on the best set they have ever spun!! Alot of partiers havent been exposed to this 'REAL' type of sound other than just the cheese and mainstream stuff that gets played on the radio or by whatever big name dj's playlist, so it means the market is much more influential and their name can get known easier.

Some DJs will even lower their rates because they want to spin in the USA and visit big cities like LA, SF, NY when they got some free time before their gigs.
