Re: More HS are asking students to take drug test.
yea i had to deal with that at my hs.
random drug tests for all students (nida 5)
1st positive: call to parents, being put on a list for a year (u get tested randomly once up to three times a month at ur expense), 5 counceling sessions
2nd positive: call to parents, deans are notified, meeting with disciplinary review council to determine whether or not u get expelled (u almost always get to stay. as long as u say ur sorry. haha), u stay on the list as long as ur in that hs, 5 counceling sessions.
3rd positive: automatic expulsion
it was very stressful. but i made it through. did nothing for me except stress me out. i failed it twice. it was soo stupid i wasnt even a bad student. my drug use didnt interfere with my schoolwork. getting kicked out of school for drugs would prolly be more damaging to my future than me doing the drugs themselves.
all the drug testing did was made me plan my drug use (e.g. doing something soon after a drug test, or doing stuff friday to give myself the weekend to detox) also i found ways around it by doing exercize and drinking redlines to metablolize drug byproducts. and am i a loser? no. fuck u if u think that. i'm a B+ full time university student with a job. and i pretty much grew out of %50 of my drug use simply because i have matured.
my high school years were just my experimentation phase.
the most positive anti drug approach is a "realistic" approach that does not make drugs look EVIL or DEADLY and none of this drugs are for LOSERS.
facts and harm reduction = way to go
