This member is the original thread starter. hard Alfonz De La Mota / sur america / mia = SHADY

**ATTENTION - PLEASE READ**

It's time to speak up about this fool and his so-called crews. Before I start let me tell you a little bit about myself. I've been raving since the early days and have seen the rise and fall of it all! I've been thru the Drop Bass era, the Route era, the dolten/harvey/and rainbow era, the rocks era even before they moved, I've practically seen it all. I use to go by the name of Cypher but I retired that long ago along with a lot of other things! Spider, before he got himself all fucked up with drugs, was one of my original boys in the scene. I'v got a lot more names that I'm not gonna mention cause most are higher up in the industry now and wouldn't appreciate me diming them out like this just to prove a point.. Spider's a low-life now and no one talks to him so he won't mind, ha ha.

Now since I got that out of the way lets get down to business! Alfonz and his cousins use to hold a crew in the 90's called Boogietribe. Boogietribe was responsible for the complete downfall of the rave scene here in Chicago. Remember when there use to be multiple events going on in one night? Well, when there were mutiple events Alfonz and his cousins would call the cops on every event but theirs just so they would have the only running event going that night!!! needless to say all the party kids would eventually end up at their event. This happened so much that the cops started getting wise. Instead of shutting the events down they would enter in plain clothes and take notes on everything they saw. The drug use, the sex, the dirty rave world, they noted it all down. Those notes were the fuel that got the "rave act" proposal signed here in Chicago in the first place.

I bet you all are like, "Oh my god, I didn't know that". But wait, it gets way worse!!!! Alfonz' cousins would pose as undercover cops at their boogietribe events just so they could bust the kids with drugs, ect. Then they would turn around and sell the shit they stole off kids at the same event. It got so bad that kids started to just do business in the parking lots or before the show cause they knew that there was some shady stuff going on between boogietribe and the cops. Little did everyone know that those weren't really cops!!!! Things started to heat up for alfonz and his cousins real bad. His cousins skipped the state and alfonz went into hiding for a few years, around 4 or 5 i think.

Now, it's 2008 and alfonz has crawled out his little hole and formed a new crew called mia! This mia crew started off a year or two ago being only alfonz and his close firends, people he could boss around. He started holding events again under a new crew name, thinking that people would forget what he had done in the past. Alfonz pays practically nothing for sound cause it's his boys, always gets good deals on venues, and from what I've heard never pays any of his dj's. But yet he can charge people for his events. All that money is going right into his pocket to fund his ever-dying record company called Sur America..

I'm bringing all this up because of whats been recently happening with this newer crew, infared. I don't go out much because I have kids now but when i do Infared never dissapoints. All I hear from my boys in sound and djing is how Infared always comes through on their word. Then I see this guy, alfonz, doing the same crap to this infared crew that he did back in the 90's and I got pissed. He's trying to ruin a reputation of a good crew and a good event just to make himself look good and it's not gonna happen this time, not on my watch!

Alfonz can come in this thread saying that he's spun for Jesus himself and it won't make up for the fact that he is, and will always be, one shady person!!!

I'm done for now, maybe I'll type some more a little later!
