i think that's the best way to describe it. as much as i love partying in california, for three day festivals like electric daisy carnival you get a lot of more commercial talent but you also lose out on finding something new.

never been to a party in chicago before, but i've been paying attention to a few of the local promoters/talent and notice that they're on the line-up. if everything goes right, i'm going to be STOKED to see them.

it would be fucking rad to see benny benassi, but he actually disappointed me last year at electro techno disco pop (san fran). i had heard much more interesting sets from local talent. in his defense, he kinda made up for it at coachella but i wasn't at coachella for edm and i felt it would be better to focus on other stages where i KNEW i wouldn't be disappointed like i was at pop.

maybe you don't agree with klover but that's your thing. if you love paul van dyk so much, make the trip to so cal and dance your little heart out. i don't see why people have to bust balls cuz someone from a different region is showing a little appreciation for an otherwise UN-appreciated region.

everyone talks about california parties. i didn't even know there were still raves in chicago until i came out here (cali).
